Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is not uncommon to see that people are more leaning towards the caregiver and/or house-help, as they do not have sufficient time for taking care of home or children all day. Admittedly, it can raise opportunity to such needy people who wants to do such duties, and better for financial cycle for any nation's people. Nevertheless, people should not completely dependent for their domestic duties or should not have authoritative attitude for not doing such duties. This essay will contain the valid points of this debate with relatable examples, as we shall see.
First and foremost, it appears that people live in nuclear families more as compared to past days. Therefore, dual-income parents do not have sufficient time for taking care of their kids all day neither for performing household duties. On the other side, there are a bunch of people who are willing to do such duties as they are lacking enough academic achievements (required by corporate level jobs). For instance, immigrants with language barrier might not be good fit for certain jobs, but can easily perform the household duties and can survive in a different country by this earning opportunity.
However, it is by no means clear that people should completely reliable on servants or caretakers, for instance, people should have courtesy to perform their everyday household chores in case of absence of servants/helpers. It is evidently seen that due to massive population and cheaper labour wage in some countries, people are more lazy about their routine domestic work (such as cooking or cleaning)and they carries bad attitude towards this type of work, as we seen in southern Asian countries like India.
To encapsulate all aforementioned points, it might be said that aids for domestic help and children raising are beneficial for both sides. Notwithstanding, an individual should completely dependent on helpers, and should learn basic life skills such as cooking, cleaning or looking after their kids in case of emergency or any other scenarios.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the economic benefits of domestic help and the personal responsibility of performing household tasks. The position is generally clear, though the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. For instance, the argument regarding immigrants is a relevant example, but the discussion on 'lazy' attitudes in South Asian countries is a broad generalization that lacks nuance. While the prompt is covered, the depth of analysis could be improved by exploring the psychological or social implications of outsourcing care more thoroughly. Overall, the response meets the requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'First and foremost', 'However', and 'To encapsulate', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or forced. There are also instances where referencing is slightly unclear, such as the phrase 'as we seen in southern Asian countries', which lacks a clear antecedent. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion, ensuring a coherent flow of ideas throughout the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common items like 'dual-income', 'authoritative', and 'encapsulate'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'people are more leaning towards', 'raise opportunity', and 'completely dependent for their domestic duties'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of the argument. Expanding the range of collocations and refining word forms would help elevate the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms and prepositions, such as 'people should not completely dependent' (should not be dependent) and 'as we seen' (as we have seen). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are also inconsistent. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout the response. To improve, the writer should focus on ensuring that auxiliary verbs and adjectives are used correctly with modal verbs and that tense consistency is maintained.
