Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays, most of the individuals have hectic schedule due to lot of work, so they don't have much time to do household word and take care of their kids, due to this they want to hire someone to do these things. I will discuss if it is good way of providing work for others or people need to do these things themselves in upcoming paragraphs.

To begin to, people who have hectic schedule and have no time to do household chores and looking after children need to hire someone

, it is also helpful for the individuals who don't have high degrees to do other work. Apart from this, it is good way to reduce the poverty by giving small work to others, so that they earn and fulfill their basic needs. For example, according to survey, there are number of people who living under poverty lane and need work to balance their life.

On the other hand, it is also beneficial for the individuals if they do this work by their own because if they take care of their kids, it is helpful to create strong bound among them. Secondly, they know better about their home and if they do household work by their own, they know where they put their essential things and find them easily when they need.

In conclusion, no doubt it is best way to provide work to others by giving them household work and looking after children, it is helpful for the society, but people need to do these kinds of work by their own when they have time, so that they create strong bound among family and take care of their things.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing work for others and the personal value of performing tasks oneself. However, the development is somewhat limited. While you mention poverty reduction and family bonding, these points are not fully extended with detailed examples or deeper analysis. The introduction is a bit repetitive, and the conclusion simply restates the prompt rather than synthesizing the arguments. To reach a higher band, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more comprehensive explanation of 'why' and 'how' these points are valid, rather than just stating them briefly.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin to', 'Apart from this', and 'On the other hand'. However, some of these are used incorrectly or sound unnatural, such as 'To begin to' instead of 'To begin with'. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes weak, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. The use of cohesive devices is occasionally mechanical, which limits the score. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help the essay flow more naturally.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'do household work' and 'do other work'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'poverty lane' (instead of 'poverty line') and 'strong bound' (instead of 'strong bond'). While your meaning is clear throughout, the lack of more sophisticated or precise vocabulary prevents a higher score. Try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations and avoid repeating simple verbs like 'do' and 'have'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('a survey', 'the poverty line'), subject-verb agreement, and prepositions ('by their own' should be 'on their own'). Some sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, which affects readability. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and article usage.
