Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays people are more busy than ever. Since there is scarcity of employment opportunities, a healthy competition exists in all sector of work. Thus everyone is busy in developing skills which is a continuous process. People have to work long hours in office and have to stay in touch with works even in their house. Doing household chores or looking after children have become difficult. As a result, keeping housekeepers or babysitters has become essential for many households.
One positive side of this scenario is that, it provided job opportunities for older or less educated people. For instance, people like to hire older people who has experiences of raising child as a babysitter. New parents get extra benefit from this since babies need more care in early age, they get good advice from experienced babysitters.
Hiring housekeepers also make peoples' life easy. You get a clean house after arriving from office makes mind fresh and relaxed. It is difficult to cook after coming from work because cooking needs preparation and cleaning afterwards. In addition, eating outside daily is not healthy at all.
However, I think people should not always avoid household works or looking after babies. If the housekeeper is not available for a period and you don't have any replacement then your life may become difficult. Moreover, if someone avoids looking after children, the relationship will not be strong in future between them. Taking care of children gives chance to bonding with them.
I would like to conclude that hiring housekeeper or babysitter is a good way of providing work for others but occasionally everyone should take part in household chores and looking after babies.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing work for others and the necessity of personal involvement in household tasks. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, the argument regarding the 'bonding' with children is a strong point but could have been expanded with more specific examples or deeper analysis. The ideas are relevant, but some sections, such as the benefits of hiring help, could be more thoroughly explored to reach a higher band. Overall, the response covers all requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each focusing on a specific aspect of the prompt. There is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'Thus', 'For instance', 'In addition', and 'However' are used to link sentences and paragraphs effectively. While the flow is generally smooth, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing could be more varied. Nevertheless, the paragraphing is appropriate and the overall structure supports the reader's understanding of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task. You use some topic-specific terms like 'household chores', 'employment opportunities', and 'babysitters'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are occasional inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'stay in touch with works' instead of 'keep up with work' or 'bonding with them' used slightly awkwardly. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and less common lexical items. The errors present do not impede communication, but they do prevent the response from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you successfully use some complex sentences, there are several grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('people... has experiences', 'babies need... they get'), article usage ('in all sector of work'), and minor punctuation errors. These errors occur frequently enough to be noticeable but do not cause significant difficulty for the reader. To achieve a higher score, focus on refining your control over complex structures and ensuring consistent subject-verb agreement.
