Student answer (Band 6.5)
Maintaing the worklife balance and sufficient budget is at the core of everyone's life. To hire someone on salary, for various household activities including looking after their own child has become an ongoing debate among the people. Wheras, it is clsimed as a better way of providing employment to an individual. Additionally, the essay discuss about the ways people can do things themselves.
Firstly, one of the big reason to recruite someone to do so, is saving time in pending works .As by having someone, who helps in day-to-day activities will make a family spend some quality time together after completion of all the household stuff by them. Moreover, a couple working in the top company with high salary ,may face issue in cooking the lunch or dinner , cleaning and maintaing their laundry. For instance, as per the news reported by Times of India - In the year of 2024 ,around 60% of the unemployed womens got the job of cooking for the couples who are working full-time.
On contrary, I believe that few works such as raising and nurturing an infant or a school going child should be done by their own parents only. Furthermore, by raising their own child could provide them the abilities to develope the feeling of parenting, to provide their culture values and make them capable to overcome the challenges. Apart from that, many issues are being face by couples such as robbery for allowing any unknown person to look after their child alone at home.
In conclusion, It is a good option to pay someone financially for performing different activities in their premises which will boost the employment opportunities in the country. But at the same time in vis-a-vis it is essential to perform some of the activities by self.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing employment and the necessity of personal involvement in certain tasks. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the argument for hiring help is supported by a specific example, the discussion on parenting is slightly underdeveloped and relies on generalisations. The introduction is a bit weak, as it contains minor inaccuracies in phrasing (e.g., 'the essay discuss about'). Overall, the response covers the requirements well, but could benefit from more nuanced exploration of the trade-offs between outsourcing and personal responsibility to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organised into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'On contrary', though some are used slightly awkwardly or with minor grammatical errors (e.g., 'On contrary' should be 'On the contrary'). Paragraphing is appropriate, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the benefits of hiring help to the limitations of doing so. Referencing is generally clear, although the flow between sentences could be smoother in the second paragraph. The conclusion effectively summarises the main points.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'nurturing', 'unemployed', and 'financially', which is positive. However, there are several spelling errors ('Maintaing', 'Wheras', 'clsimed', 'develope') and some awkward collocations (e.g., 'pending works', 'in vis-a-vis'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise word choice and better proofreading to move into the higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('the essay discuss', 'many issues are being face') and article usage errors ('the top company', 'the unemployed womens'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas and periods. While the meaning remains clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from being considered highly accurate. To improve, the student should focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common grammatical slips.
