Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is argued that sometimes people start paying someone for doing their household activities and taking care of children because of their hectic schedule and lack of interest. I believe that this totally depends on the situation, as some people are unable to manage multiple things so it is convenient for them to.
These days many nuclear families depend on someone to look after their household works and children. This is because they do not have any other member in the family for this duty. As a result, they have to seek for someone which assists them to balance their work as well as personal life. For instance, in India, the state called Lakhimpur where majority of poor women doing work at someone else house for their survival.
In my opinion, due to having busy lives, people can not do all the things themselves, having someone is convenient for them and also for their health. Undoubtedly, working people must be more efficient at work if they are free from house duties which leads to give them full time to emphasize on their work.
In conclusion, it is better for people to pay someone to do their household things and taking care of childeren if they want to achive their life goal.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address both parts of the prompt—the benefits of providing work and the question of whether people should do these tasks themselves—the arguments are underdeveloped. For instance, the point about 'efficiency at work' is mentioned but not fully explored or supported with a clear example. The response is too brief to allow for a comprehensive discussion, leading to a lack of depth in your analysis. To improve, ensure you expand on each point with specific examples and logical reasoning to reach the required length.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and limited. Phrases like 'As a result' and 'In conclusion' are used, but the transitions between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the sentence structure regarding 'the state called Lakhimpur' is fragmented and lacks a clear connection to the preceding argument. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, unified focus will enhance the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'household activities', 'household works', and 'things'. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'seek for someone which assists them' (should be 'seek someone to assist them') and 'emphasize on their work' (should be 'focus on their work'). To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'domestic responsibilities', 'socio-economic impact', or 'professional productivity', and pay closer attention to correct preposition usage.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'majority of poor women doing work' (missing verb 'are'), 'taking care of childeren' (spelling error and incorrect gerund usage), and 'it is convenient for them to' (incomplete infinitive phrase). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the sentence structure in the second paragraph is particularly weak. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and ensure that complex sentences are constructed accurately. Reviewing basic sentence completion rules will help you avoid leaving ideas hanging.
