Student answer (Band 5.0)

It has been observed that, sometimes possible to pay somebody to do things like household chores or looking after children is good way of providing work for others. Also, people should do these things themselves. There are merits and demerits of this topic which are elaborated in upcoming paragraphs with examples.

Examining the brighter side of providing pay is good way to help others. If some day we need help regarding anything in emergence. They will remember and ready for help without a doubt. Also, it is showing good human nature of ourselves. Hence, Children are great god gifts. So, if we have opportunities to take care of children, we should.

On the other side, there are some darker side of help. If we are always available to help, then they think like we have not a problem every time so they will ask random things also. It is not a good things to do. Moreover, we are shy to tell them that, like we can not do. This nature will destroy our time and respect day be day. Also we loses our relationship with each other. Beside this, another person will become lazy to do their work also. Further most, this is not good at all.

To conclude all the points, there are Prons and cons of this topic. Additionally, I have explained in details with examples. However, I believe that, it is good way of providing payment in household chores or looking after children but not all the time. People should do their work themselves in some points. I am moderate level in favor of both the views.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, but the development of ideas is limited and often unclear. While you mention the benefits of providing work and the importance of personal responsibility, the arguments lack depth and logical progression. For example, the section on 'darker side of help' is confusing, as it seems to conflate paying for services with general favors or charity. The position is stated but not consistently maintained or supported with clear, relevant examples. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-explained idea that directly answers the specific question asked.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing and a lack of clear logical progression. While some cohesive devices are used, such as 'Moreover' and 'To conclude', they are often applied mechanically or inappropriately, making the connection between sentences feel disjointed. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the subject of 'they' is ambiguous. The transition between the idea of paying for services and the concept of personal favors is not well-managed, which hinders the overall coherence of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and often repetitive, which limits the ability to convey complex ideas effectively. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'great god gifts' and 'destroy our time and respect day be day'. The range of vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the general topic, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise terminology related to employment and personal responsibility rather than relying on generic phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including issues with sentence structure, subject-verb agreement, and article usage. Many sentences are fragmented or lack a clear subject, such as 'It has been observed that, sometimes possible to pay...'. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, these are often faulty and impede the clarity of the message. Punctuation is also inconsistent, which further affects readability. To reach a higher band, focus on constructing complete, error-free sentences and mastering basic grammatical rules before attempting more complex structures.
