Student answer (Band 6.0)
In contemporary society, people nowadays chooses to pay for the chores, which they are not able to do or wishes to not due to some time constraints or any health issues. I believe it is a good opportunity for individuals who are searching for jobs. I think people should not do these things on their own, let us discuss the given statements in the following paragraphs.
To begin with, let us shed some light on the fact why people want to pay somebody to do their chores and how it is a positive aspect. To clarify, people who are mentally stressed or have some physical constraints cannot do their regular household chores themselves, they do require help of a proffestional cleaner, which not only increases job opportunities for the young adults, but also creates a scope for some people to earn some extra bucks. To cite an example, people who have some physical injuries or due their age cannot do basic household chores like lawn mowing, house cleaning, etc. can take help from the job seekers specially from the young adults. This not only give them job security but also gives them an opportunity to learn things. In addition, working parents or newly parents hires babysitters to look after their childreen, because some need an emotional support, while others want to work more to provide better future to their kids. As a result, peoples who pay others for their chores, not only makes their lives better, but also gives opportunity to others to earn a livelyhood.
Primarily, people should not do things themselves if they do not wish to do. Although it can make the person lazy, but they donot face any mental pressure to complete their task. When people are forced to do their chores they can face various diseases such as anxiety, depression, etc. Hence, people should only do their chores willingly not by force.
To encapsulate, it can be concluded that by paying others to do their chores can be considered as a positive aspect as it increses the employement ratio, and helps individuals to focus on other essential things in their lives. I think people should not do chores if they are not willing as they could face an anxiety attack or depression.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: whether it is a good way to provide work and whether people should do these things themselves. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive, particularly regarding the health benefits of not doing chores. The argument that doing chores causes 'anxiety attacks' is a significant over-generalisation, which limits the depth of the response. While the ideas are relevant, they could be supported with more nuanced reasoning rather than relying on extreme examples. The response covers all requirements but lacks the depth of analysis expected at higher bands.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'In addition', and 'To encapsulate', though some are used mechanically. There is some awkwardness in the flow between sentences, such as the transition in the third paragraph regarding laziness. Referencing is generally clear, but the progression of ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. Overall, the structure is coherent and easy to follow, meeting the requirements for a band 6.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several spelling errors, such as 'proffestional', 'childreen', 'livelyhood', 'increses', and 'employement'. The student relies on basic phrasing like 'do things' and 'do chores' repeatedly. While the meaning is always clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and the frequent spelling mistakes prevent the response from reaching a higher band. To improve, the student should focus on using more precise synonyms and ensuring accurate spelling of common terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people nowadays chooses', 'parents hires', 'peoples who pay') and pluralisation. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several comma splices and run-on sentences. While the errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. A greater focus on basic grammatical accuracy and sentence boundary control is needed to improve this score.
