Student answer (Band 5.5)

Now a days many people in the world are hiring care takers for their children and maids to work for household related tasks. Although some people might think it is a negative development, I completely agree with the advantages of hiring caretakers , not only because they are cleaning your house and taking care of your child , but also they can earn money to support their families. This assay will explore how this development is positive ones.

Hiring care takers is a common trend now a days, Firstly, they take care of child in your absence. As they are more trained and professional. Take an example of brampton in canada, in 2026, the Peel regional office passed a law for the regulation of care takers, According to policy government will provide them 3 months paid training to all workers from the early childhood educators. Thus, care takers are indeed for the professional workers.

Secondly, they are very beneficial to do all the tasks related to your house hold when you are at work. As this will make you more comfortable during your work and provide you a great relief when came back after stressful day. For instance, in 2022, Amazon, a major company in US, noticed that the employees have maids or care takers at their homes are working more efficiently rather than others who do not prefer to have them. Hence, this is a most significant benefit in our life.

Finally, care takers can generate income for their families while working. As they are getting salary from the employers at least basic wadges as per government policy.

To sum up, I believe that cake takers are beneficial not only because they are taking care of your child and household matters in your absence but also they can earn money for their own families.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the benefits of hiring help and the economic impact. However, the development is somewhat superficial. The second question—whether people should do these things themselves—is only implicitly touched upon rather than directly explored. The examples provided, such as the 2026 law in Brampton or the Amazon study, appear to be fabricated or lack sufficient context to be convincing. To reach a higher band, you should provide more balanced arguments, perhaps acknowledging why some might prefer to do chores themselves (e.g., personal bonding with children or cost-saving) before concluding your position.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'This assay will explore how this development is positive ones' is grammatically awkward and does not effectively transition into the body. While there is a logical progression, the linking phrases are sometimes repetitive or misused, such as 'Hence, this is a most significant benefit in our life.' Improving the variety and precision of your transition words would enhance the flow of your arguments.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'cake takers' instead of 'care takers' and 'basic wadges' instead of 'basic wages.' The phrasing is often repetitive, relying on simple structures to convey ideas. To improve, you should focus on using more sophisticated collocations and ensuring that your spelling is accurate, as these errors occasionally distract the reader from your main points.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'they are cleaning your house... but also they can earn'), punctuation errors, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'when came back after stressful day'). While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic tense consistency and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed correctly.
