Student answer (Band 6.0)

In current scenario, it is very much convenient to hire maid to perform household chores. Moreover, having nanny to look after toddlers. In this sectors job opportunites are increasing, due to hectic lifestyle of working parents and young proffessional. It is feasible option to do not only regulate their time but also provide sustainable livelihood.

Nowadays, in this competitive workforce, every individual thrive to achieve better standard of life. Add into this, choosing comfort for themselves and for family is valid and time worthy choice. Proffession like doctors, scientists and defence services demands availblity at given time, in this it is not possible to involve in household chore and to raise a child with full attention. From my perspective, we should do hardwork to earn sufficient amount of money to provide utmost comfort to family members from household work, to let them focus on their health and to do any leisure activity, they want to pursue.

To begin with, in this fast paced world, people consume their significant time in their working place, often do not get time to communicate with their parents and in this case, if all domestic work can be handled by paid worker, this not only creates harmony between family but also create possitve space to communicate to reslove any social matter. In all metro cities, this is new sector of employement for poor and uneducated people to earn to provide better livelihood for thieir lovedones. These people required employement, many uneducated sweepers works in mega malls, corporates and many more, without this kind of jobs they trapped in crime circle and becomes part of antisocial elements.

To encapsulate this, in this fast moving world paying maid to perform our household duties is not sin but also providing luxury to our lovedones and also create job oppportunites for others.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing work for others and the question of whether people should perform these tasks themselves. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that hiring help provides employment for the uneducated, the argument could be strengthened by exploring the potential downsides of outsourcing personal responsibilities, such as the impact on family bonding or the loss of life skills. The ideas are relevant, but some points, such as the claim about crime, are asserted without sufficient elaboration or logical connection to the main topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a central theme. There is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate. For example, the transition 'Add into this' is non-standard, and the use of 'in this' to start sentences is repetitive and occasionally confusing. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the third paragraph where the connection between domestic work and the prevention of crime is abrupt. More varied linking words would improve the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'proffessional', 'availblity', 'thieir', 'oppportunites') and some awkward collocations (e.g., 'it is not sin', 'regulate their time'). While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'sustainable livelihood' and 'competitive workforce', the overall range is limited. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary and ensuring correct spelling and word choice throughout the essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include missing articles ('hire maid', 'in this sectors'), subject-verb agreement errors ('many uneducated sweepers works'), and sentence fragments ('Moreover, having nanny to look after toddlers'). While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for articles and pluralization would be highly beneficial.
