Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, increasing number of people choose to hire someone to finish their daily household works or babysitting their children. Some of them are doing because of lack of time while others are not interested in doing this things. I believe that this is great idea to provide employment to someone and save time.
To begin with, one of the main reason people hire somebody else to do this work is because of lack of time. Many people work long hours shifts like morning 8 to evening 6 or 8 so they does not have time to do household work or cannot look after for their children as well. If they hire someone to do this things like cleaning, cooking and look after their children so they can focus on their work. As an example, many working parents are hiring babysitter for their children while they are at work so they do not have to worry about it.
Another important reason is if people are free from this house cleaning and cooking work then they can focus on their goals or health like they can go for gym, swimming or playing favorite sports with their friends or family. Also hiring someone can provide employment to cleaners and babysitter so they can also earn some money so this is beneficial for both of them. As an example, currently many people has started business in this area like cleaning service or babysitting you just have to call them or visit their website to hire someone for one day or full month depends upon your requirements.
On the other hand, if parents do look after for their children by themselves then they have great bond and understanding with their kids. Also they can teach them good life lessons and manners which is not teach by any hired babysitter. As an example, in India mostly parents do not hire any babysitter they personally look after or many people live in joint family so they do not have to worry about child growth.
To conclude, hiring someone for babysitting and cleaning are best for working parents and for people to get employment it makes life much more easier. But if parents do this themselves then children also learn from them by seeing them doing household things and also learn good manners and things from family.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing employment and the question of whether people should perform these tasks themselves. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the argument about 'lack of time' is mentioned in the introduction and then expanded upon in the first body paragraph, but the points regarding the social implications of hiring versus doing it oneself could be more deeply explored. The conclusion provides a summary but does not fully synthesize the two sides of the argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported point rather than restating the premise.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Another important reason', and 'On the other hand' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is slightly unclear, such as 'doing this things' or 'do look after for their children'. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the transition between the benefits of hiring and the benefits of doing it oneself could be smoother to improve the overall flow of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express their ideas clearly. There is some attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'employment', 'requirements', and 'joint family'. However, there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'daily household works' (should be 'chores'), 'look after for their children' (should be 'look after their children'), and 'not teach by any hired babysitter' (should be 'not taught'). The range is sufficient to communicate, but the lack of precision and occasional awkward phrasing limits the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that persist throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('some of them are doing', 'they does not have time'), incorrect verb forms ('which is not teach'), and prepositional errors ('look after for'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the frequency of these grammatical slips prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
