Student answer (Band 6.5)

In this technological driven era, delegating personal responsibilities like domestic chores and childcare to paid has become common practice. While some people opine that this trend promotes dependency , I believe that outsourcing these tasks is a highly effective method of job creation. So, I will elaborate on reasons with relevant examples in the upcoming paragraphs.

to commence with, one primary advantage of hiring someone to perform household duties is that it creates employment opportunities. Many people earn their living by working as cleaners, babysitters, gardener, or caregivers. Therefore, paying for these service can provide a stable source of income for people who need work. In addition, people who busy in their work can save time by delegating these responsivities. A clear example of this is that in developed countries like USA, Canada working parent hire a babysitter to look after their children while they are work. This is allow then to concentrate on their career while they also ensuring that their children receive proper care.

On the contrary side, people should not completely depend on others for everyday. Household chores are important life skills, and everyone should be able to do cook, clean, and take care of their own basic needs. Moreover, spending too much money on such services may create financial pressure on a families.

In my opinion, the best approach is to find a balance between doing things independently and hiring help when necessary. If people have demanding jobs or family responsibilities , paying someone to help with household task is a practical and reasonable choice.

To sum up, it can be said that , paying others to perform unwanted or time-consuming tasks is a positive way of creating employment and helping busy people manage their time.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the role of outsourcing in job creation and the necessity of personal responsibility. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the argument for job creation is supported with examples, the discussion on personal responsibility is brief and lacks depth. To reach a higher band, you should expand on why these life skills are essential beyond just stating they are 'important'. The conclusion effectively summarizes your stance, but the overall development remains at a functional level rather than a fully extended one.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'to commence with', 'in addition', and 'on the contrary side' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or forced. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. The progression of ideas is generally clear, though the link between the two main body paragraphs could be smoother to create a more cohesive flow of argument. Referencing is generally accurate, though minor errors in sentence structure occasionally disrupt the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'delegating', 'outsourcing', and 'employment opportunities'. There are some instances of awkward phrasing or minor word-choice errors, such as 'paid' used as a noun (should be 'paid help') and 'people who busy in their work' (should be 'people who are busy'). You attempt to use less common vocabulary, but some collocations are slightly unnatural. To improve, focus on using more precise terminology and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form within the sentence structure.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you successfully use some complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors that, while not impeding communication, are noticeable. Examples include 'technological driven era' (should be 'technologically'), 'paying for these service' (should be 'services'), and 'This is allow then' (should be 'This allows them'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some unnecessary commas, such as in the final paragraph. A greater focus on subject-verb agreement and correct verb forms would significantly improve your score.
