Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, the trend of doing work by others has significantly increased. Nowadays, it is common to hire people to do work like household chores or looking after children because people do not have time to do these chores or they do not want to do it. Although people are busy in their work, they should take care of their children so that they can make personal relationship with them. This essay will discuss both why this is a good way of providing work for others and people should do these things themselves. Due to the hectic schedule, people are so much busy in their daily life. It is good for them to pay others to complete their work. Household chores take much time to complete so it is better to hire people to complete them. Instead of spending time on household work, people should invest precious time on study or work. Moreover, it can increase the employment rate as well as people will pay others to do these things. For example, in big cities, most of the people are working so they prefer house helpers to do their household work such as cleaning, looking after children. Thus, it is important to spend time wisely on upgrading skills instead of doing household work.
If people allow others to take care of their children then their children will not be well connected with them. It is essential for children's mental growth to spend time with them. Furthermore, household chores such as cleaning and dusting are physical activities so by doing so they can make themselves physically active. For instance, kids who are not raised by their parents are more stubborn than children who are raised by their parents because parents can teach them moral values and discipline. Therefore, it is good for body and health to do household tasks and take care of the children.
In conclusion, although people save their time by doing their household chores from others and looking after children, it can keep them healthy and stay connected with kids. If people do these things themselves, it can waste their time, but it can make happy because they spend time with their kids.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing employment and the reasons why individuals might prefer to perform tasks themselves. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the economic benefit of hiring help is mentioned, the argument regarding personal development could be more deeply explored. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and slightly contradictory, as it suggests that doing tasks oneself is a 'waste of time' but also beneficial for health and relationships. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with more nuanced reasoning rather than just stating the benefits or drawbacks.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'For instance', and 'Therefore' are used to link ideas, although some transitions feel a bit mechanical. The progression of ideas is generally clear, though the final paragraph lacks a strong, cohesive summary of the arguments presented. Referencing is mostly accurate, though some sentences could be better connected to improve the flow of the argument. Overall, the structure is sufficient to guide the reader through the writer's points without confusion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'hectic schedule' and 'mental growth', which are used appropriately. However, there is some repetition of basic words like 'work', 'do', and 'things'. Some collocations are slightly unnatural, such as 'doing their household chores from others'. Expanding the range of synonyms and using more precise terminology would elevate the score. The errors in word choice do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of the argument.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'people are so much busy' (should be 'very busy') and 'make personal relationship' (should be 'build personal relationships'). Subject-verb agreement and preposition usage are occasionally inconsistent. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout the text. To improve, the writer should focus on refining sentence construction and ensuring consistent use of articles and pluralization, as these minor errors occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score.
