Student answer (Band 5.5)
Sometimes it is possible that we people pay somebody for the things we don't want to do by ourselves and sometimes we don't have enough time to do all the household chores because of our work. I think that we should look after our children by ourselves, care takers and nannies can not give the same love and care as mothers.
Yes, i think if you don't have time to do all the household chores because of your buisness or outside work, we can keep a servant for few hours and pay them. That will be helpful for us as well as for the person who need a servant job but if you are doing nothing you should take care of your home by your own, doing little things can be good for your physical and mental health also.
Looking after your children is your responsibility, people should understand that nobody can take care of a child like his parents. Children needs a quality time with their parents and nobody can give them that care and the feeling of love. Some childcare homes and nannies do not treat them as they do infront of childrens parents. One of our relatives thought that we have to hire a caretaker for their baby but after few months they found out she beats the child and she was not giving him a healthy and fresh meals.
Yes, people should provide work to the needy people but most of the time they should do their work by their own and should teach their children also that doing household chores is good for their life because sometimes we might have to survive independently.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the economic benefit of providing work and the personal responsibility of household/childcare tasks. The position is clear throughout, advocating for a balance between hiring help for busy professionals and maintaining personal involvement in family life. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide a relevant example regarding a relative's negative experience with a nanny, the arguments could be extended further by discussing the broader societal implications of domestic employment. The conclusion is a bit brief, but it successfully summarises your main points. To improve, aim to expand on the 'why' behind your opinions with more detailed reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each focusing on a specific aspect of the prompt. There is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and limited. You rely heavily on simple transitions like 'Yes' and 'but'. To achieve a higher band, try to incorporate a wider variety of linking words and phrases (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast', 'on the other hand') to improve the flow between sentences and paragraphs. Additionally, ensure that referencing is always clear to avoid ambiguity.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'household chores', 'nannies', and 'independently'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of slightly unnatural word choices, such as 'we people' and 'servant job'. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and academic vocabulary. For example, instead of 'keep a servant', consider 'employ domestic help'. Expanding your range of synonyms will help you avoid repetition and demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('Children needs', 'she beats the child and she was not giving him... meals') and punctuation errors. Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'Sometimes it is possible that we people pay somebody'. To reach a higher band, focus on proofreading for basic errors and attempt to use a wider variety of complex grammatical structures, such as conditional sentences or relative clauses, with greater accuracy.
