Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is widely acknowledged that paying someone to perform various household chores could be beneficial to the people paying for it and to the one doing the job. This essay will discuss the reasons why hiring house-help has a positive impact to the labor force.
One of the most compelling reasons why employing a house support worker is advantageous to the people looking for a job and also to the person looking for the help is because it alleviates socio-economic status of the workers. This is largely because when someone is employed, his financial capability and capacity to thrive in this world also improves, which consequently drive productivity for both the worker and the economy. When an employed person can provide for himself, he does not have to rely to the government, thus enabling the state institution to allocate social funds it saved to some projects necessary to support the country's economic growth, such as healthcare, education, and infrastructure projects. By hiring someone to perform household work, the person is not only helping the worker, but also the government. For example, people who are employed in the home support sector can now afford to pay for basic necessities, such as food, and can pay taxes.
Furthermore, the people who employed house-help can have an effective work-life balance. This is due to the fact that they can do not have trade anything in order to have the other, which consequently resulted to unfulfilled. For instance, some people have to give up their full-time work in order to take good care of the house, thereby made them missed some opportunities for careers advancement. On the other hand, people who choose to do both the house and professional work often find themselves in a very stressful environment where their mental and physical health are being affected too. Therefore, it would be better if there people should hire someone to perform household chores on their behalf.
In conclusion, hiring house-help can have positive outcomes to the workers, their employers, and the government. If more people will realize the widespread impact, it is highly likely that more economy can continue to thrive even at challenging times since everyone have the opportunity to take care of themselves.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the economic benefits of providing work and the personal decision to hire help. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the economic argument is well-supported, the second body paragraph regarding work-life balance is slightly repetitive and lacks a nuanced discussion on whether people 'should' do these things themselves beyond just citing stress. To reach a higher band, you could explore the moral or personal development aspects of doing chores oneself, such as teaching children responsibility, to provide a more balanced perspective.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately. Cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'For instance', and 'On the other hand' are used to guide the reader. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or awkward, such as the phrase 'they can do not have trade anything in order to have the other', which disrupts the logical progression. Referencing is generally clear, but some sentences are slightly disjointed due to grammatical inaccuracies.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'socio-economic status', 'financial capability', and 'career advancement'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'alleviates socio-economic status' (which should be 'improves' or 'alleviates poverty') and 'resulted to unfulfilled' (which is grammatically incorrect). While you attempt to use more sophisticated language, these occasional inaccuracies prevent the score from being higher. Focus on ensuring that collocations are natural and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include 'rely to the government' (rely on), 'thereby made them missed' (thereby making them miss), and 'everyone have the opportunity' (everyone has). While the meaning remains clear, these errors are persistent. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of verb forms after modal verbs or conjunctions.
