Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing work for others and the necessity of personal involvement in household/childcare tasks. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding employment is clear, but the discussion on personal involvement is repetitive and lacks depth. The conclusion is incomplete, which prevents a fully developed position. While the main ideas are relevant, they are not extended with sufficient detail to reach a higher band. The position is clear, but the overall structure feels rushed toward the end.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Consequently', 'Moreover', and 'However', but some are used mechanically or incorrectly (e.g., 'pay to someone for take care of your kids can leads'). The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the abrupt ending of the essay negatively impacts the overall coherence. While the logical flow is generally easy to follow, the lack of a finished conclusion and some awkward transitions between sentences limit the score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word-choice errors, such as 'manage out their house work', 'ease the burden of finance', and 'carry on household task'. The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary, but the lack of control over collocations and word forms (e.g., 'kids who grown under the care taker') hinders the clarity of the message. A wider range of vocabulary and more accurate usage would be required for a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('individuals needs', 'people has'), incorrect verb forms ('can leads', 'kids who grown'), and missing articles or prepositions. While the meaning is generally understandable, these errors are persistent and occur in both simple and complex structures. The punctuation is generally acceptable, but the grammatical inaccuracies are frequent enough to occasionally impede the flow of reading.
