Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays time to time people hire for their housework whey they are busy, even when they have time to do it themselves. I think it is a best way to provide employment but I think for some tasks it is not appropriate to hire a person.
Household chores contribute a huge part in the employment. There are lots of people whose bread comes from these jobs. These jobs give opportunities to People with no education and no experience. It also gives hope to old people and people with less physical strength, for example, An old lady in her sixties has no other income source except cleaning houses.
On the other hand people are becoming completely dependent on this. They count on strangers to look after their children and parents or grandparents. Kids do not listen to their parents nowadays, I think this could be the main reason, Because they are not being raised by their parents.
In conclusion, when people hire other people for their daily chores it provides employment to lots of people but it is also destroying parents' relationships with their kids. So for taking care of children no one should be hired, it should be done only by the parents.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address both parts of the prompt—the benefits of employment and the personal responsibility of chores—the arguments are underdeveloped. For instance, the point about children's behavior is asserted without sufficient explanation or logical connection to the act of hiring help. To improve, you must expand on your points with more detailed examples and analysis to ensure the response is fully developed and meets the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of your argument. You use basic cohesive devices like 'On the other hand' and 'In conclusion' to signal shifts in topic. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes disjointed, and the use of cohesive devices is quite limited. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that sentences within paragraphs are more tightly connected to create a smoother, more logical flow of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing such as 'do things' and 'hire people'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'bread comes from these jobs', which is not standard English. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and idiomatic expressions. Expanding your range of synonyms and learning how to use them in the correct context will help you convey your ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'Nowadays time to time people hire' (missing prepositions/awkward phrasing) and 'Household chores contribute a huge part in the employment' (incorrect preposition). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and comma usage. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like subject-verb agreement and article usage before attempting more complex structures.
