Student answer (Band 6.0)
In modern society, people can hire others, such as house cleaners, gardeners and babysitter to do the tasks which either they dislike or they do not have enough time because of their busy schedules. While I believe that this practice creates employment opportunities for many people, Individuals should still undertake certain responsibilities themselves, especially when family and personal development are concerned.
On the one hand, there are households where young professionals struggle with their tight routines, and hire other people such as cleaners to help them complete time consuming tasks. Moreover, getting a help from a nanny who looks after the children when parents can focus on their business needs. This helps part time students, low income families and those who have lack of qualifications.
On the other hand, these households consider themselves to do basic things like prepare food, cleaning and laundry, because it improves their skills like time management. Moreover, parents are the ones who must spare their time to look after their offsprings as it strengthens the bond and emotional development of their family.
In my opinion, it is fair to get paid help when needed, but there is a need to strike a balance. Over Dependence on house aids to reduce work load can create an financial burden as well as reduce affection between families.
In conclusion, being able to provide valuable jobs for those who are in need is a great privilege for many. However, it should be acknowledged in a manner that the family can have quality time , as well as maintain work life balance.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing work for others and the necessity of personal involvement in household tasks. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the second paragraph mentions that hiring help assists 'low income families' and 'those who have lack of qualifications,' but this point is not fully explained or linked back to the broader economic impact. Similarly, the argument regarding personal development is mentioned but lacks specific examples or deeper analysis. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations or concrete examples to ensure the ideas are fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand,' 'Moreover,' and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical. For example, the second paragraph contains a sentence fragment: 'Moreover, getting a help from a nanny who looks after the children when parents can focus on their business needs.' This lacks a main verb and disrupts the logical progression. Additionally, the use of referencing could be improved to ensure smoother transitions between ideas. Overall, the structure is clear, but the cohesion needs more variety and precision.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'employment opportunities,' 'time consuming,' and 'work life balance.' However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'getting a help' (should be 'getting help'), 'offsprings' (the plural of offspring is 'offspring'), and 'an financial burden' (should be 'a financial burden'). These errors do not impede communication, but they indicate a need for more precise control over collocations and articles. To improve, focus on learning the correct usage of countable and uncountable nouns and common collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'those who have lack of qualifications' (should be 'those who lack qualifications') and 'these households consider themselves to do basic things' (which is semantically confusing). There are also punctuation and capitalization issues, such as 'Over Dependence' and 'offsprings.' While these errors rarely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Increasing the frequency of error-free sentences through careful proofreading and focusing on subject-verb agreement will help improve your score in this criterion.
