Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, everyone is running out of time. so they try to do their work from others people by paying them. In my perspective, I partially support this view. which will be explained below.

commencing with the reason why I agree with that people should hire someone for their work rather then doing it by themselves, the prominent one is it will provide employment. In this modern era. everyone is working and running with no times for thir domestics and other work,If they hire workers like maid, cook than this will not only help them to save the time but also help them to manage their home properly. Consequently, This will help to provide jobs to needy ones who can not others heavy work like men, this will also boost the economy indirectly as well.

However, the another reason behind why I partially support. the first and foremost reason is that it can lead to crime and emotional absence. To elaborate, most of the parent hire caretakers for their babies because they have no time due to their work. this increase the gap betweens childrens and parents. children hesitate to share their personal things with them. not only this they influence towards negative things which make them criminals. furthermore, sometime the household workers also trie to scam or steal the valuable things from home.

To conclude, Although hiring workers for household work can save time but it can also create gap amongst them. so people should try to give time to their family members which strengthen the bond and prevent from crime

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the economic benefit of hiring help and the personal implications of doing so. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the argument regarding 'emotional absence' is a strong point, but it lacks specific examples or a more nuanced explanation of how this impacts family dynamics. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments could be more thoroughly extended to reach a higher band. The response is balanced, but the link between hiring household help and the potential for 'crime' is a significant over-generalisation that weakens the logical flow of the argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'commencing with the reason' and 'the another reason' are used in a way that feels unnatural. There are also issues with sentence-level cohesion, where punctuation errors (such as starting sentences with lowercase letters after periods) disrupt the flow. While the progression of ideas is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the frequent punctuation errors make the text feel disjointed at times.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choices, such as 'running with no times for thir domestics' and 'needy ones who can not others heavy work'. Spelling errors are frequent (e.g., 'thir', 'betweens', 'trie'). While the meaning is generally conveyed, the limited range of vocabulary and the persistent errors in word formation and spelling prevent the response from achieving a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently marred by grammatical errors. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, article usage, and punctuation. For instance, 'everyone is working and running with no times' and 'most of the parent hire caretakers' demonstrate a lack of control over basic grammar. Punctuation is particularly problematic, with many sentences starting with lowercase letters or being incorrectly joined by commas. These frequent errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding of the intended meaning.
