Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that household chores or looking after children should be done by oneself, I completely disagree with this view because it leaves you stressed and worn out.
Obviously, taking care of children should be something planned and intentional not leaving you confused or mentally derange. Kids are a lot of work, so if you are not fit to do chores when they mess the whole house up, it is more beneficial to hire someone do it. Therefore, providing work for others. For example, Imagine a graduate who finished with a first class degree in a country that is not working, due to your working schedule you do not have time to take care of your triplet which they just turn one year and you offered to pay her two thousand dollars for a start. Moreover, you just helped that graduate with a job and elevated her by bringing her to the states where you live. I believe this is a good way of providing work for others.
Additionally, there is no mandate that requires a person to care for their children or do household chores by themselves, so I contend that it has to do with a person's choice even as a parent. There are certain questions you will need to ask yourself such as, does your occupation or job permit you to pick up and drop off your kids from school during working hours? can you cook, clean and cater for three kids at the same time without any assistance? if yes then you can go ahead and make a choice. There is an African adage that says ''no reward for suffering''. Life is too short to be stressed out all because you do not need help, so it is advisable, to work smarter and not harder.
Conclusion, I strongly agree that household chores or taking care of children should not be done alone without helps or assistance from individuals as it leaves you stressed and worn out making this approach particularly beneficiary.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the benefits of providing work for others and the personal choice of managing household tasks. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding providing work is supported by a specific example, but the reasoning is occasionally informal and lacks depth. The position is clear throughout, but the response would benefit from more balanced exploration of the counter-argument—why some might believe people should do these things themselves—rather than focusing primarily on the stress of the individual. The ideas are relevant, but the overall structure of the argument feels slightly rushed in the final paragraph.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, though the transitions between ideas are sometimes abrupt. While cohesive devices like 'Moreover,' 'Additionally,' and 'Therefore' are used, they are occasionally placed awkwardly or used to connect ideas that lack a strong logical flow. The referencing is generally clear, but the progression of ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. The conclusion is somewhat abrupt and lacks a clear summary of the main points discussed, instead repeating the personal stance. Paragraphing is present, but the logical flow between the introduction and the body paragraphs needs more careful management to ensure a cohesive argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, though it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are some instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'mentally derange' (should be 'mentally deranged') and 'beneficiary' (should be 'beneficial'). The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary, but the overall range is somewhat limited and repetitive. While the meaning is clear, the lack of sophisticated collocations and the presence of word-choice errors prevent a higher score. More variety in expressing opinions and describing the benefits of outsourcing would improve the lexical profile.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('triplet which they just turn one year'), punctuation errors, and awkward sentence construction ('if you are not fit to do chores when they mess the whole house up'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. The student shows an attempt at complex structures, but control over these is inconsistent. Improving accuracy in verb tenses and sentence punctuation would significantly enhance the quality of the writing.
