Student answer (Band 6.5)
In this modern society, many people pay others to do their household chore or nurturing their offspring, In my opinion, hiring people to provide such service is a positive development, but not all the tasks are meant to be done by the others.
One major advantage of hiring other to perform the household chores is that it creates a window of job opportunities for the people who are struggling in this economy and want to be financially stable for quite some time. This type of job, mostly require no prior qualifications or experience : one can apply for this job who may not have excess to highly skilled jobs. For instance, jobs like household cleaners, babysitters, gardeners or caregivers may earn a stable income by providing this services to several households.
However, on the other hand, one major drawback in this scenario would be that the people who are paying others to do their household chores, may not be able to spend some quality time with their children, or their parents as they would be exhausted with their daily lives. Certain task like nurturing the children, the parents must do that. Although, a babysitter can take-care of their children, but it must be the parents who actually look after their children as it creates bond between the children and the parent. For instance, children who are raised by the babysitter and do not get enough attention from the parents are likely to have struggle in becoming socialize with the society.
In conclusion, hiring people to do the household chores is beneficial for both the parties, however it should not become a permanent solution, especially in those which involves their family and children

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the economic benefits of hiring help and the necessity of parents performing certain roles themselves. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While the economic argument is well-supported with examples like cleaners and gardeners, the second part regarding parenting could be more deeply explored with more specific reasoning beyond the general mention of 'bonding'. The essay covers the requirements well, but the depth of analysis is more characteristic of a Band 6.5 or 7.0 response, as some points remain slightly underdeveloped.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two main arguments. Cohesive devices such as 'One major advantage', 'However, on the other hand', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, there are some minor mechanical issues with punctuation, such as the comma splice in the first sentence ('...offspring, In my opinion...'). Additionally, the flow between sentences could be smoother in the second body paragraph to better connect the idea of parental exhaustion with the consequence of social development in children.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task. You use some relevant topic-specific terms like 'financially stable', 'prior qualifications', and 'nurturing'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'struggle in becoming socialize with the society' (should be 'struggle to socialize') and 'excess to highly skilled jobs' (should be 'access'). The range is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band score. Improving your control over collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing would enhance your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the household chores' vs 'household chores'), verb forms ('hiring other' instead of 'hiring others'), and prepositions. There are also punctuation errors, such as the comma splice in the introduction and inconsistent capitalization. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent the essay from reaching the Band 7 level, where a higher frequency of error-free sentences is expected.
