Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that sometimes possible to pay somebody to do things you don't want to do, or don't have time to do. While there are different views regarding this issue, I believe that sometimes people don't have much time to do house chores or looking after children, so they can hire somebody to help them, and this is a best way of providing the work for other.
There are several reasons why people don't want to do house chore and looking after the children. This is because some people cannot manage both things together. For example, many children have special needs so their mothers cannot want to leave their children for home chores. Therefore, they pay somebody to do the things, which they cannot want to do, and this also creates the jobs in the market.
Another important point to consider is that sometimes people don't have time to do home chores and looking after children. This means that many people do jobs for earning money for their families. So, they don't have time to do these things. For instance, many people do jobs from 9pm to 5pm, then they reach theirs home 6pm to 7pm, they don't have much time left for other things. As a result, they leave their children in daycares and hire someone for the home chores.
In conclusion, although people do these things for themselves. I believe that this way creates the job in markets and reduces unemployment.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the economic benefits of hiring help and the personal necessity of doing so. However, the development is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. The ideas are presented but not fully extended with sophisticated reasoning. Furthermore, the response falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the overall task achievement score. To improve, you should aim to provide more nuanced arguments and ensure your essay meets the length requirement to allow for a more comprehensive exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a basic logical progression. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'Another important point', 'For example', 'As a result'). Some transitions feel forced, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the final paragraph where the sentence structure is fragmented. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your sentences flow more naturally into one another, rather than relying on a rigid, formulaic structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'do things', 'do jobs', and 'do house chores' are used frequently, which limits the range of expression. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'creates the jobs in the market' and 'cannot want to leave'. To improve, you should work on using more precise synonyms and collocations. For example, instead of repeating 'do', use verbs like 'perform', 'manage', or 'undertake'. Expanding your vocabulary to include more topic-specific terminology would significantly enhance your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include incorrect verb forms ('mothers cannot want to leave'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing ('reach theirs home'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with sentence fragments in the conclusion. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents a higher score. Focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and article usage, and try to incorporate more complex sentence structures with greater accuracy.
