Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 3.0

The response is significantly under the required word count of 250 words, reaching only 87 words. Consequently, the task is not fully addressed, and the ideas remain severely underdeveloped. The essay fails to provide a clear position or explore the two questions posed in the prompt (whether it is a good way to provide work and whether people should do these things themselves). Because the response is incomplete and stops mid-sentence, it cannot be considered a successful attempt at the task. To improve, you must ensure you write at least 250 words and provide a structured argument that addresses all parts of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The text is too short to demonstrate a coherent structure or effective paragraphing. While there is a basic attempt to use a cohesive device ('To begin with'), the response ends abruptly, preventing any logical progression of ideas. There is no clear introduction, body, or conclusion. To achieve a higher score, you need to organize your thoughts into distinct paragraphs, each with a clear topic sentence, and use a wider range of linking words to connect your ideas logically throughout the essay.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, such as 'people', 'work', and 'help'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'in the stress' (should be 'under stress') and 'a little bit amount' (should be 'a small amount'). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas or demonstrate any flexibility. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations and synonyms to avoid repeating simple words and to add precision to your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains several grammatical errors that hinder clarity. For example, 'people are busy in the hustle and bustle' is slightly unnatural, and 'If some people needs help' contains a subject-verb agreement error ('needs' should be 'need'). The sentence structure is fragmented, and the text ends in an incomplete sentence. There is no evidence of complex sentence structures. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement, correct preposition usage, and ensuring that your sentences are complete and grammatically sound.
