Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays most of the people have hectic schedule due to which they hire someone to complete some tasks for themselves including household chores to personal care for their children. Although, this can be helpful for needy ones who do not have any job yet I believe individuals can manage their own work because this is a wastage of money.

To commence with, it can be seen that many people are in such a need for job that they want to do anything for their livelihood. By getting your work done from others and by compensating them could assist themselves to earn butter and butter for their family. For example, in Canada, some of the jobless students who can not pay their fees and manage their expenses only because they are jobless, can get a job for doing someone's help. Therefore, this notion can be proved best to job seeking individuals.

However, people should also try to manage their household chores along with job. To explicate, by organizing a daily schedule can save wastage of money to hire someone to do your job. For instance, a person living alone doing morning shifts can wake up early in the morning, can make meals ready to eat for a week at weekends, for child they can send their child to kindergarten. Hence, people can also manage their routine.

To conclude, in my perspective by arranging and planning daily life routine, one can do their work by themselves in a best manner whilst it can be also considered a good source of earning for needy people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing work for others and the argument for self-reliance. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'earning butter and butter' (an incorrect idiom) is repetitive and lacks depth. While the example of jobless students in Canada is relevant, the explanation of why people should do things themselves is a bit simplistic, relying on basic scheduling advice. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the broader societal implications of outsourcing labor versus the personal benefits of self-sufficiency, providing more nuanced reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'To commence with,' 'However,' and 'To conclude' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'To explicate, by organizing a daily schedule can save wastage of money.' The referencing is generally clear, though the flow between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. The use of cohesive devices is sufficient, but there is a lack of variety in how ideas are linked, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks sophistication. There are instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect collocations, such as 'earn butter and butter' (likely a confusion with 'bread and butter') and 'do someone's help.' While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'hectic schedule' and 'livelihood,' the range is limited. To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and avoiding informal or non-standard idioms. The errors in word choice do not impede communication, but they do limit the score to the 6.0 range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'most of the people have hectic schedule' (missing article) and 'by organizing a daily schedule can save' (incorrect subject-verb structure). Additionally, 'Although, this can be helpful' is punctuated incorrectly as a sentence fragment. While you demonstrate an attempt at complex structures, the control is inconsistent. The majority of sentences are understandable, but the frequency of minor errors in articles, prepositions, and sentence construction prevents a higher score.
