Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays, Most of the individuals try to hire people who they can ask to look for their chores or children. In my opinion, Providing people with employment is a good choice but relying too much on others for work can be a bad decision as well.
To commence with, In today's world everybody has been juggling with their professional life and personal life. To explain, most of the families now have both working parents due to which they don't get enough time to pay attention to their kids education, health etc or sometimes are not able to do everyday works because of tiredress from work. This makes them to look for people who can really do these jobs for them. For example, people in western nation mostly hire nanny's for their kids due to which nanny's job has been quite demanding and worth paying as well. Secondly, providing people with work really helps in lowering the overall unemployment rate in country which helps people to earn atleast for their necessary things.
However, Hiring people for all the works is not a good option. To elaborate, when someone can work for it, it makes them lazy at some point due to which in long run they try to avoid the work. To explicate, People are getting more habitual of hiring maids and if the maid doesn't show up at work then it creates the chaos among the family members as they are not habitual to do house work. Addionally, taking care of kids by ourselves rather taking help from someone else
regularly __ helps in building a strong emotional connection with kids. It provides them the sense of being loved and nurtured by their parents.
To conclude, providing employment has lot of advantageous which not helps us personally but helps economically too. Although, certain drawbacks comes with it as well which makes people lazy or procrastinate work and not looking enough at kids. In my opinion, I believe it should be balanced such as if people are way too much busy, they can hire someone for few hours instead of committing for a long run.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: whether hiring others is a good way to provide work, and whether people should do these things themselves. A clear position is maintained throughout the essay. The ideas are extended and supported, such as discussing dual-income families, time constraints, and the economic benefits of job creation alongside the personal drawbacks like loss of family connection and developing laziness. For instance, the writer notes that 'most of the families now have both working parents' which leads them to look for domestic help. However, some arguments lack deeper nuance and veer slightly into over-generalisation, which places this performance firmly at Band 7.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay presents a clear logical organisation and progression throughout. Each paragraph has a distinct focus, moving from an introduction to arguments for job creation, arguments against reliance on help, and a balanced conclusion. Cohesive devices are used effectively, such as 'To commence with', 'Secondly', and 'However', though some transitions feel slightly mechanical or formulaic. Paragraphing is used sufficiently, with clear breaks between different main ideas, although there is a fragmented sentence structure near the end ('Addionally, taking care of kids by ourselves rather taking help from someone else regularly __ helps...') which momentarily disrupts the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task and attempts less common items with varying degrees of success, such as 'juggling with their professional life', 'unemployment rate', and 'emotional connection'. However, there are noticeable lexical errors and awkward collocations throughout the text, such as 'tiredress' instead of tiredness, 'everyday works' instead of everyday chores or housework, and 'nanny's' with an incorrect apostrophe for the plural. Words like 'habitual' are also misused in place of 'accustomed'. These errors do not impede communication, placing the response at Band 6.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing structures like relative clauses ('people who they can ask') and conditional elements. However, grammatical inaccuracies are frequent. Examples include article misuse ('in country' instead of in a country), preposition errors ('look for their chores' instead of look after, or 'paying for' instead of paying attention), and incorrect verb complementation ('This makes them to look' instead of makes them look). Punctuation and sentence boundary issues also appear, particularly with the isolated line break before 'regularly __ helps'. While communication is rarely impeded, control over complex structures remains inconsistent.
