IELTS Writing Task 2 question

It is sometimes possible to pay somebody to do things you don't want to do, or don't have time to do, for example, household chores or looking after children.

Is this a good way of providing work for others?

Should people do these things themselves?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

Sometimes it is possible to pay somebody to do things you don't want to do or don't have time to do, for example, household chores or looking after children. I agree that this is a good way of providing work for others, and I will explain this with relevant examples.

The first reason is that sometimes you get physically and mentally tired from your daily routine and think that you need a break, so you decide to hire somebody to do your household chores and look after the children, and you can go somewhere where you can find peace and feel relaxed, like going on vacation, going to a spa, or shopping, doing those activities that make you feel relaxed. For instance, my mom got sick, and at that time my sister and I were small, so we hired somebody to take care of our home, and we let my mom rest. Secondly, your schedule is so busy so are not able to focus on either your wok and home. Mostly, it happens when ever adult is working in the house; especially, it get worst situation if you have small children at home.

Thirdly, sometimes somebody needs help or is looking for work and doesn't have enough experience or education to get any job, so it good way of earning money, especially in urban areas, as they need more because their lifestyle is different from rural areas. Also, you can do it as a part-time job, which will help you to pay your expenses. As we saw in foreign countries, people do these kinds of jobs because they are not qualified for any other jobs, so to support themselves and their families, it is the best way.

In conclusion, I would say that there are many that I agree with paying somebody to do things you don't want to do; the choice is yours what you think about it.
