Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the current era, husband and wife both are working and it is really difficult for parents to take care of their kids as well as for mothers to do household chores. Hence, they decide to hire someone who can do household chores and look after their children. In the upcoming paragraphs, I am going to share my reasons with some relevant examples.
First of all, these days families are more nuclear than joint and couples does not have any support from their parents and grandparents to provide the better upbringing to their children. secondly, Both are working and does not have flexible time such as they are working Nine to Five jobs because of that they could not focus on their day to day routine such as cooking, cleaning, and washing clothes. In such situations, married people decide to pay someone who can do these things for them to support their daily lifestyle. Lastly, the increasing inflation affected families and women also financially support their husbands and if in this scenerio they have kids then they really need a caregiver or a nany to look after their babies.
On the other hand, some people believe that people should do these things themselves because the way they can take care of their things others can not. For example, if a owner will clean their house, they will clean every single corner, unfortuntely when they hire someone they do not consider that places as their own and just try to finish their jobs. The quality of the work decreases. Even, no one is sure about the services of nany due to the high crime rates in the society. Few days ago, The Times of India newspaper realised an article in which they mentioned that crime rate such theft and kidnapping highly increased in the field of hiring cleaners and nanies. To avoid such incidents, people should do their jobs instead paying someone else.
In the end, I would like to say hire people cautiously. Check their background, governement IDs and then hire for your safety and for your family members security. Apart from this, I strongly believe if people do not have enough time to perform their daily activities, it is better to find a right person to do those things.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: whether paid help provides work for others and whether people should perform these tasks themselves. The writer presents a clear position throughout, acknowledging the economic and lifestyle reasons for hiring domestic help, while also discussing the counter-arguments regarding quality and security. Ideas are generally well supported, though some points, such as the mention of crime rates, are slightly underdeveloped and rely on sweeping claims. Nevertheless, the main elements of the task are adequately covered, and the arguments are extended with relevant everyday examples. This aligns well with the Band 6.5 to 7.0 profile.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The response is organized into clear paragraphs, following a logical progression from introduction to body paragraphs discussing both sides, and concluding with advice. Cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'secondly', 'Lastly', and 'On the other hand' are employed to structure the flow of ideas. However, referencing and cohesion can occasionally feel mechanical or slightly repetitive, and paragraphing in the conclusion feels a bit abrupt. Overall arrangement is coherent and easy to follow, satisfying the requirements for a Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, successfully using terms such as 'upbringing', 'nuclear', 'inflation', and 'scenerio'. However, there are notable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'nany' instead of 'nanny', 'owner' instead of 'homeowner', and 'realised' instead of 'released'. Less common lexical items are attempted with some inaccuracy. While communication is never impeded, these frequent mechanical and lexical errors prevent the score from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating clauses with 'because', 'such as', and 'even if'. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are several noticeable errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('couples does not have', 'Both are working and does not have'), missing articles ('an owner', 'a nany'), and run-on sentences in the body paragraphs. Punctuation is also occasionally faulty. While the meaning remains clear, the frequency of basic grammatical errors places this response firmly in the Band 5.5 to 6.0 range.
