Student answer (Band 5.0)
In Morden cities, many people hire the workers for cleaning, gardening and other house hold work. In my opinion, It is a good way for employment.
first of all, Hiring an employee for work is good thing to provide a job in market. However, it is a good income for people.
For instance, people who are busy in their work they can hire an employee. moreover, it is a good opportunity for employee to earn a money.
However, I also believe that people who hire a worker they should also do the household work by themselves because it caused them a laziness if they are just sitting on a chair. somehow, I think people who are busy in their work, they can hire an employee for a part-time. for example, if I hire an employee and I just sitting and givingthem order it's not good for them as of my behavior. apart from that I think it he's not good for my health. for good health we need to do an exercise and it healthy.
In conclusion, providing the work to an employee is a good for economy and for the employment. however, some work need to be done by yourself is also equally important.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to address both parts of the prompt: whether hiring help is a good way to provide work, and whether people should do these chores themselves. However, the ideas are under-developed and repetitive, relying on very basic explanations. Furthermore, the length requirement has not been met, as the response contains only 205 words compared to the required minimum of 250 words. This under-length issue directly impacts the level of task completion and prevents the ideas from being fully explored. Due to these underdeveloped points and the penalty for failing the word count threshold, a band score of 5.0 is appropriate.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, which helps establish a basic structure. However, the logical progression is weak and repetitive, moving back and forth between the benefits of employment and the drawbacks of laziness without clear development. Cohesive devices are used mechanically or inaccurately, such as starting multiple sentences and paragraphs with 'however' or 'first of all'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, as seen with pronouns like 'it caused them a laziness' and 'it he's not good for my health'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion fails to create a smooth, unified flow. This aligns with the descriptors for a band score of 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses a limited and repetitive range of vocabulary, such as repeating 'employee', 'work', 'hire', and 'good' multiple times throughout the short text. There are noticeable lexical errors and inappropriate word choices, such as 'Morden cities' instead of 'modern cities', 'house hold work', and 'earn a money'. While the meaning can generally be discerned, the vocabulary lacks the variety and precision needed for higher bands. There are spelling and collocation inaccuracies that reflect a restricted lexical repertoire, fitting the band 5.0 criteria.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writing demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic subject-verb patterns. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently flawed and unnatural, such as 'people who are busy in their work they can hire an employee' and 'if I hire an employee and I just sitting and givingthem order it's not good for them'. There are frequent grammatical errors, including tense inconsistencies, missing articles, run-on structures, and punctuation issues like lowercase letters at the start of sentences ('first of all', 'moreover'). These errors cause some difficulty for the reader and warrant a band score of 5.0.
