Student answer (Band 5.0)

In today's world, people are busy in their own life's because everyone wants peace in their life. So, due to this, some people do those things which they don't want to do like household chores or looking after children. In the further paragraphs I am going to explain is it good way for providing work to others and people's have to do their own chores by themselves.

Firstly, I am going to discuss about why some individuals provide work for others because sometimes people need money for their survival and they have to take care of their families. However, In modern world, one person cannot cater the demands of all family members so everyone have to work to fulfil their dreams. So, because of this, this is a good way to leave the work for others. moreover, sometimes people don't have jobs so if they earn little bit then they can do something. In addition, if someone provides work to others they gives blessing's to them. Moreover, in foreign countries sometimes people need work for experience if they do that work then it will be beneficial for them.

As we know that people have to do work by their themselves. Because if we depend on others so how we can become successful person in the future. for example, sometimes rich parents they don't give works to their children because they love them they want their child will not hurt so due to this, children are most dependent on their parents. which cause they become lazy, obesity and so on.

To conclude, If we provide work to other and give them pay this is the good way to help them because sometimes people really needs work. however, if the person who is providing the work is not wealthy so they should have to do work with their themselves. they do not have need to depend on others.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The candidate addresses both parts of the prompt: whether paying others to do unwanted tasks is a good way to provide work, and whether people should do these chores themselves. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat superficial and repetitive. For example, the point about providing work for others relies on general statements like 'people need money for their survival' without deeper elaboration. The second prompt regarding whether people should do things themselves shifts into a somewhat tangential discussion about rich parents spoiling children and leading to 'obesity', which weakens the core argument. Despite these limitations, a clear position is maintained throughout the essay. The response corresponds best to the Band 5.0 descriptor because ideas are limited, slightly repetitive, and under-developed, particularly in the second body paragraph.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, representing a basic organizational structure. However, paragraphing is somewhat problematic; the introductory paragraph relies heavily on formulaic conversational framing ('In the further paragraphs I am going to explain...'). Cohesive devices are frequently overused or misused, such as the repetitive starting of sentences with 'So' and 'Moreover'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, as seen with pronoun ambiguity in sentences like 'Because if we depend on others so how we can become successful person'. Progression is disjointed at times due to abrupt transitions between ideas. This level of organisation aligns with the Band 5.0 descriptors, where there is some organisation and use of cohesive devices, but cohesion is mechanical and repetitive.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, with frequent reliance on high-frequency words such as 'people', 'work', and 'things'. There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward word choices, such as 'leave the work for others', 'gives blessing's to them', and 'do work by their themselves'. Some attempts at less common vocabulary are made, such as 'survival' and 'beneficial', but overall control is limited. Spelling and word-form errors are present ('life's', 'everyone have', 'needs work'). These limitations place the lexical resource firmly in the Band 5.0 range, as the vocabulary is minimally adequate for the task but contains noticeable errors and limited flexibility.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar is weak. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('everyone have', 'people [...] gives'), incorrect prepositions ('do work by their themselves'), and fragmented or run-on sentences (e.g., 'which cause they become lazy, obesity and so on'). Punctuation is also inaccurate, with lowercase beginnings for sentences following periods and unnecessary comma splices. While simple sentences are generally understandable, attempts at more complex structures frequently result in faulty grammar that can cause some difficulty for the reader, matching the Band 5.0 descriptors.
