Should people do these things themselves?

Student answer (Band 4.5)

Nowaday many peoples doing this because some citizen donnt like to do work and some are bit busy in their vocation. I also ageer with this statment . In this eassy I will first give you my opinion with examples and I will also give some reason why I am agree. Firstly, in my opinon in the whole world everyone have some issues in our life they cannot intrested in householde work. For instance they take work from the needy residents and give them some money. In this way they also help the poor public and free from the household chores. secondly, some people have a job so that they hare a sarvent for the house work they cannot give their time at the home .I assume that there is no major reason for not give the household to the others . There are many resaon. Such as some peohave a lot money they riched so they do not the work it aslo a big reason . At the other hand some parents will be bit busy in their job they have many types of jobs so they give their children caretaker for cgild grow uf and better health . Some time they are nothing know about the child health care and growth so they had a servent for their child. I think there are no disadvantages of this thing . Every household and parents should to do this and make your life relax and enjoyable . At the end I think everyone give time to their family , friends and children easily .They have no much barden on himself. They can handle everythnig easily. They can reduse their boredom. In sum up, in my opinion all people should have a servent for their help .Its would be easy for them and they could be also help the needy fron this way.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The student attempts to address both parts of the prompt: whether paying others is a good way of providing work, and whether people should do these chores themselves. A position is stated, noting agreement with paying others, though the development is quite limited and repetitious. For instance, the writer mentions helping needy residents and providing child care to avoid boredom, but these ideas lack full extension and suffer from frequent irrelevancies or loose generalisations. While the response does cover all parts of the task at a basic level, the lack of deeper support and the repetitive nature of the arguments restrict it to a Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, featuring standard introductory and concluding remarks alongside body paragraphs introduced by markers like 'Firstly' and 'secondly'. However, the overall progression is heavily hindered by disjointed sentences, lack of cohesive ties between clauses, and poor referencing. For example, sentences such as 'I assume that there is no major reason for not give the household to the others' lack logical connection to the surrounding text. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal flow within paragraphs is frequently disrupted, leading to a confusing structure overall. This performance aligns with Band 4.5 to 5.0 descriptors, specifically matching the characteristics of Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'Nowaday', 'peoples', 'donnt', 'eassy', 'intrested', 'sarvent', 'resaon', 'riched', 'cgild', and 'barden'. While the student attempts some less common terms like 'caretaker' and 'residents', the dense clustering of spelling mistakes ('sarvent', 'resaon') and inappropriate word choices ('rich' used as 'riched') consistently strain the reader and impede fluent communication. The lexical range is minimally adequate for addressing the prompt, justifying a Band 4.0 score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The text displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and heavily flawed attempts at complex structures. There are persistent, major grammatical errors in almost every sentence, including missing auxiliary verbs, incorrect verb tenses, and subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'citizen donnt like', 'everyone have', 'parents should to do this'). Punctuation and spacing are also poorly managed throughout the response, with multiple consecutive spaces and erratic full stops. Because errors are extremely frequent and often obscure the intended meaning, the grammar clearly falls into the Band 4.0 category.
