Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's fast-paced era, it has become increasingly common to hire helper for take care of household chores. Some people believe that individuals should not rely on workers for their personal tasks, whereas they should take responsibilities for their own work. This essay will discuss both views and my own opinion in upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, there are several reasons why people tend to hire workers for their daily household duties. The first and foremost reason is individuals can save their precious time. Since everyone have hectic schedule and sometime not get enough time to spend with their family members. For example, a working couple with two child are not able to spend time together, due to preparing meals as well as taking care of children. If they will hire a maid for domestic help even for a weekend. They could spend plenty time together. Apart from this, Some parents are not able to give full attention to their teenagers. If they get professional help, it not help helpful for the family members, but also can creat employment for workers.
However, people should do their tasks in order to save money. This is because, sometimes hiring a helper can be expensive and if people choose to do their household chores, they can save that amount of money. Additionally, it can help to maintain privacy and trust among the families. Some people may feel uncomfortable to allowing strangers in their homes for taking care of their children. Parents should devide the responsibilities and should prefer personal care for better well-being.
To conclude, most of the people think keeping a worker for domestic work have more benefits, however others believe that people should fullfil their responsibilities by their own. In my opinion, doing their own work is good decision, it not only save money, but also help to maintain privacy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both whether paid help provides good employment and whether people should handle these tasks themselves, presenting a clear position by the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is uneven. For example, while the point about parents saving time and creating employment is introduced, the explanation is slightly brief. Similarly, the counterargument about privacy and financial savings is raised in the third paragraph ('hiring a helper can be expensive and if people choose to do their household chores, they can save that amount of money'), but some supporting ideas remain somewhat repetitive and under-developed, which keeps the response at this level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, moving logically from an introduction to body paragraphs discussing both perspectives and a final conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Apart from this', and 'However' are used to signpost the progression of ideas, fulfilling the requirements for lower bands while showing elements of higher organizational control. However, referencing and cohesion are occasionally mechanical or slightly faulty, such as in the sentence structure 'whereas they should take responsibilities', and some transitions between sentences feel abrupt, preventing the response from reaching the higher band descriptor.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'fast-paced era', 'hectic schedule', and 'domestic help'. However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice, form, and collocation throughout the essay, such as 'hire helper for take care', 'child' instead of 'children', 'not help helpful', 'creat' instead of 'create', and 'devide'. These spelling and word-choice errors occur frequently, though they do not seriously impede communication, placing the vocabulary firmly within this band's parameters.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating attempts at subordination and relative clauses, such as 'Since everyone have hectic schedule and sometime not get enough time'. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, particularly involving subject-verb agreement ('everyone have', 'child are'), missing auxiliary verbs ('sometime not get'), and prepositional patterns ('for take care of'). While these errors rarely completely impede communication, they are persistent enough to restrict the grammatical score to this level, as error-free sentences are not in the majority.
