Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, paying somebody to do household work or watching childrens is common way if people don't like such things or they don't have enough time to do that things. I believe that this is a possitive change for people who unable to find job due to their lowe qualification and for those also who want to earn more money and career growth. Although some people argue that this all stuff also can be do by themselves. This essay will discuss both views in ensuing paragraph.
In this morden era, people are more focused about their career growth, future plans and living their lifestyle. People are busy with doing jobs, earn more money, and secure future for childrens. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response addresses the task only minimally, partially discussing whether hiring help provides work and whether people should do chores themselves. Furthermore, the length requirement is not met, as the student's response contains only 234 words, falling short of the 250-word minimum. The position is stated rather than fully developed, and the writing trails off abruptly before completing the discussion, leading to an incomplete treatment of the second prompt question. Ideas are limited and under-developed, such as the brief mention of employment opportunities without elaboration.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organization with an introductory paragraph and body paragraphs attempted, but there is no clear overall progression. Paragraphing is evident, but the final paragraph breaks off mid-sentence. Cohesive devices are repetitive and sometimes inaccurate, such as relying heavily on basic linkers like 'Although' and 'On the other hand'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the overall flow lacks the logical progression needed for a higher band.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited but minimally adequate for the task. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling that cause some difficulty for the reader, such as 'possitive', 'morden', 'susscessful', and 'employement'. Phrasing like 'watching childrens' and 'this all stuff' demonstrates a basic lexicon with frequent inaccuracies, though meaning is still partially conveyed.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response features a very limited range of structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, such as 'Nowadays, paying somebody to do household work or watching childrens is common way if people don't like such things or they don't have enough time to do that things.' Frequent errors in verb forms, articles, agreements, and prepositions persist throughout the text, which can cause difficulty for the reader.
