Student answer (Band 5.5)
We live in 21st century, where people don't have time for things. Hiring individuals for help is common in these busy days. Ofcourse, it is meant for high class community but if we see from different angle, then it is an employement for those who can earn this way.
I think it is good to hire someone for the work which we cannot do ourself, like for e.g. Maid for household services, babysitter or someone who are specialist in taking care of pets. However, there are certain advantages and disadvantages.
It helps to those who are busy in there work life and cannot afford time to handle these miscellaneous services. The helper can make things easy for them and in return they will get paid for the services.
However, there are some disadvantages and risk in paying others for your personal work. Consequences like, if someone else is helping constantly you in household services then you will not be trained for it and incase if you come across any situation, where you need to do things on your own then you will lack experience.
Now lets talk about risk, I have personally experienced this incident. In my family, my aunt hired the babysitter to take care of her tolder whilst she is in her office. The helper betrayed and stolen the jewellery from the house and left the child on his own. Which created a psychological trauma on my aunt.
So in conclusion, I would like to highlight that it is okay to pay and hire someone only if it is neccessary. And be assured that the worker must be trust-worthy and someone from your knowns.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both whether paying for chores provides work for others and whether people should do these things themselves. A clear position is presented, and relevant ideas are introduced, such as the employment generation aspect and the disadvantages regarding personal skill loss and safety risks. However, some ideas are under-developed or treated superficially. For instance, the point about employment is stated briefly without much extension, and the personal anecdote about the babysitter is used to illustrate the risk, but the arguments as a whole lack fully realized supporting details. The response remains relevant throughout, but to reach a higher level, the ideas would need more thorough expansion and deeper exploration.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the essay into an introduction, body paragraphs addressing advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used to separate distinct ideas, such as the personal anecdote in its own section. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. Words like 'However', 'Now lets talk about', and 'So in conclusion' are used somewhat repetitively or abruptly. Referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in phrases like 'It helps to those', where the pronoun reference is slightly loose. Progression is generally understandable, but clearer logical transitions between the competing arguments would make the flow smoother and more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to communicate basic ideas about hiring help and its associated risks. The student attempts less common vocabulary, such as 'miscellaneous services', 'psychological trauma', and 'trust-worthy', but these attempts are accompanied by some inaccuracy in word choice and collocation, for example, 'employement' instead of employment, and 'stolen the jewellery' instead of stolen jewellery. There are also spelling and word-choice slips like 'tolder' instead of toddler and 'knowns' instead of people you know. These lexical errors do not seriously impede communication, but they restrict the precision and fluency expected at higher levels.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating that the writer can string clauses together to express opinions and experiences. However, there are some errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text. Examples include missing or incorrect prepositions and articles, such as 'busy in there work life' instead of 'their work life', 'for e.g.' instead of 'for example', and minor agreement or tense slips. While these errors are present, they rarely impede communication, allowing the reader to follow the narrative and arguments easily. To achieve greater accuracy, closer attention to article usage, prepositional patterns, and spelling within grammatical structures is needed.
