Student answer (Band 6.5)
It has become increasingly common nowadays for people to appoint other individuals for perform their daily household tasks and taking care of their children. I believe this trend is beneficial to some extent. However, certain responsibilities must be taken care by the individual themselves rather than relying on others.
To begin with, with increasing development of modern technology, competition to secure employment has become challenging. It has become crucial for people to acquire certain qualification and experience to get a better well paying job. As a result, individuals who do not possess certain skills and abilities are more likely to get unemployed, and become significantly challenging for individuals to survive in this economy. To prevent such outcomes, jobs such as cleaning the windows, providing house security, and mowing grass, such jobs do not require any prior qualifications or experience and less stressful than other highly competitive jobs. Moreover, individual who hire others to get their household chores done are usually able to save time and focus on their professional responsibilities.
However, certain duties and responsibilities, such as raising children, should be taken care of by parents themselves. Parenting is an important phase in a child's development, as children develop a strong emotional attachment to their parents during this stage, which is essential for their emotional and cognitive development. Children who are taken care of by caregivers may develop emotional detachment with their parents, as caregivers cannot provide emotional support, companionship and guidance. As a result, children may get easily influenced by negative factors and often isolate themselves from the society as they lack adequate parental supervision and guidance,
In conclusion, appointing other individuals to perform household duties may provide benefits by allowing people to save time and focus on their professional responsibilities. However, it is important for individuals to prioritize parenting, as parental involvement is crucial for children's future development and well-being.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the task, discussing both whether hiring help is a good way to provide work and whether people should do these things themselves. You present a clear position throughout the essay. The ideas are generally extended and supported, such as your point regarding how domestic jobs provide accessible employment for individuals without prior qualifications. However, there is a slight tendency to over-generalize in places, which keeps the response at this solid level rather than pushing higher. To reach the next level, you could fully develop every supporting argument with more precise examples or deeper analysis rather than relying on slightly repetitive explanations.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
There is a clear logical organisation and progression throughout the essay. Each paragraph has a distinct central topic, moving smoothly from an introduction of your stance to arguments about employment, then to childcare responsibilities, and finally to a neat conclusion. You use cohesive devices adequately, such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'However', to guide the reader through your arguments. While paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, some of the referencing and transitions between sentences are slightly mechanical. To achieve a higher band, you would need to use referencing and substitution more seamlessly so that the flow of ideas feels entirely natural and unobtrusive.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.5
Your vocabulary range is adequate for the task and demonstrates an attempt to use less common items, such as 'significant challenge', 'prior qualifications', and 'emotional detachment'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and word formation that prevent a higher score, such as writing 'for perform' instead of 'to perform', and 'taken care by' instead of 'taken care of by'. Furthermore, phrases like 'better well paying job' lack proper hyphenation or precision. To improve this score, you should focus on more accurate collocations and ensure that your lexical choices are consistently natural and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence forms throughout the essay, effectively incorporating subordinate clauses such as 'while caregivers cannot provide emotional support...'. There are some errors in grammar, including missing prepositions and article slips, such as 'become significantly challenging for individuals' where a subject like 'it' is missing, and 'individual who hire' instead of the plural 'individuals'. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but these persistent grammatical inaccuracies mean that error-free sentences are not frequent enough to secure a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and prepositional patterns will help elevate your grammatical control.
