IELTS Writing Task 2 question

It is sometimes possible to pay somebody to do things you don't want to do, or don't have time to do, for example, household chores or looking after children.

Is this a good way of providing work for others?

Should people do these things themselves?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some people pay somebody to do things they do not want to do, or do not have time to do, for instance, household chores or takingcare of their children. These things might be a good way to benefit others, particularly for the individuals who are underprevillege because they may provide their needs from working for other people. Most of the people who are paying some individuals to do their responsibilities are persons that do not have enough time because of demanding working schedule.

On one hand, hiring a person who will do some of the task that you cannot handle can have several benefits particularly to those peole who are underprivillege. Because of working, they can provide their daily needs from the salary that they may get from working in your household such as doing the chores or taking care of children. For instance, you hired a single mom who has three children and is only one supoprting her them. She may use the salary to provide foods and allowance of her children.

On the other hand, people are hring some individuals to work for them particularly in doing the household chores and taking care of their children because of demanding working schedule. For example, a parent who is working as a customer sevice in call center industry that operates 24 hours. Her schedule is night shift, therefore she don't have time to prepare meals and look her children in school. So she may pay for somebody to do those tasks. This is one of their way to have some time to rest from the demanding work.

In concusion, people who are paying somebody to work for them is because of their working schedule. They cannot be able to do some of their responsibilities such as doing the household chores and taking care of their children because they also need to rest. However, this is also a good way of providing works for others and they may provide their needs.
