Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, as the people have become more busier, the time has become more limited. For that reason, many people decide to pay to others for doing the things that they are unable to do it, what ever is the reason , it could be lacking of time or lacking of motivation. I firmly believe that paying to someone for work is a convenient way to offer employment to others.

To pay to some one else for doing the things that you are no able to do it, can be sawn as a way to provide opportunities of employment to others, as I consider that everyone has different talents and skills. I do not see any negative point in take advantange of this and pay to some one else by having the skills that you currently do not have and also because your time is limited , For example, I remember that when I got married I paid to a person who handled and was in charged of all my weading, this was an especial day for us, and I needed someone who has the right experienced and providing me support and calm in that day, I did not have time to do it myself, I was face another things, like my dress, the honey moon, the rings; so, I was very busy, for that reason I never hesitated in pay them. An this was a amazing because I was satisfied and the person that I had already hired to do so as well.

However it is important to clarify that this situacion can make the people become lazier, as always will be there somene that want to be payed for something that you do no want to do. For example, there is a typical situation with some student that paid someone else to do their homework. In this case is reasonable to be evaluated, as facing and asumming their own responsabilities is better.

In conclussion, I consider that if you do not have time to do anything, you can find the solution by hiring others and paying them for that. It is a good way for taking advantage both, on one hand you provide employment, but also by the other hand your get benefit as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both whether paying for these services is a good way to provide employment and whether people should do these things themselves. A clear position is maintained throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the personal example regarding the wedding planner is expanded, other points remain limited and under-developed, such as the brief mention of students paying for homework. The arguments are relevant, but extending the discussion with deeper explanations and more comprehensive examples would elevate this aspect of the writing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the response into an introduction, body paragraphs addressing different aspects of the prompt, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical, with referencing that is not always clear. Cohesive devices like 'For example', 'However', and 'In conclussion' are used, but awkward transitions and repetitive phrasing occasionally disrupt the logical flow between sentences and paragraphs.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, providing a minimally sufficient range to communicate basic ideas about employment and personal responsibilities. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'responsabilities', but this is accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form, including 'more busier', 'weading', 'espacial', and 'situacion'. These lexical inaccuracies reflect a limited control over word choices and spelling conventions, which occasionally causes some difficulty for the reader and restricts the precision of the argument.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting relative clauses and conditional structures. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, particularly involving verb patterns, prepositions, and articles. Examples include 'pay to others for doing', 'what ever is the reason', 'take advantange', and 'payment of someone else'. While these errors rarely completely impede communication, they are persistent enough to demonstrate only limited grammatical control and prevent the response from achieving a higher level of accuracy.
