Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this contemporary era, people can easily arrange someone to take care of their children and for domestic chores such as cleaning. This approach has positive outcome in terms of providing employment. From my perspective, if individuals may have time to do these things, they should take accountability to perform their duties by themselves.
when people hire someone, it creates job opportunities for other people , especially for those ones who are jobless. As a result, they may get a work and earn money to fulfill their basic needs such as accommodation, food, which are essential to survive. Therefore, the rate of unemployment can be reduced to some extent in the society. Moreover, in this competitive era, it is becoming harder to get jobs because of strict requirements such as education and past experiences related to the field. Owing to this, everyone cannot meet these conditions and in that case they have to find jobs in their surrounding houses for cleaning and to supervise children. That is why, these kinds of job can help many persons with regard to work.
If people have time to spend with children and perform household tasks, they should take greater responsibility. This is because by having spent a considerable amount of time with kids, they can understand their needs better and teach them moral values to became a successful person. For instance, may be the kids are having problems with their studies. If parents would aware about it, they can assist them to solve the difficulties. Consequently, it may help children's overall development. Moving further, when couples perform domestic chores together, It gives them an opportunity to build a stronger bond with each other because at that time they may do crucial conversations about their relation. Therefore, it increases the sense of love.
In conclusion, By providing jobs, may jobless people can take benefit parents can not only guide their children effectively and but also have a chance to increase their emotional attachment with each other if they prefer to do housework together.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing both the employment benefits of hiring help and whether people should perform these tasks themselves. The position is clear throughout the essay, fulfilling the basic requirements of the task. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. For example, while the discussion on children's overall development and parental bonding is extended with relevant reasoning, the economic points regarding unemployment are somewhat repetitive and lack deeper elaboration. To reach a higher level, all parts of the prompt would need to be equally well-developed with fully supported arguments and specific, nuanced examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear progression of ideas from the introduction through the body paragraphs to the conclusion. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate distinct themes, such as employment advantages versus parental responsibility. However, the cohesion can feel slightly mechanical at times due to repetitive use of transitional markers like 'Therefore' and 'Moreover', and some referencing is occasionally imprecise. To achieve a higher standard, the writer would need to employ a wider and more flexible range of cohesive devices seamlessly, ensuring that the transitions between sentences and paragraphs flow naturally without any mechanical feel.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'contemporary era', 'domestic chores', and 'emotional attachment'. However, there are instances of lexical inaccuracy and awkward word choices, such as 'take accountability to perform' instead of 'take responsibility for performing', and 'crucial conversations' instead of 'meaningful conversations'. Spelling and word-choice errors are present, such as 'became' instead of 'become', but they do not impede communication. For a higher band, the vocabulary would need to show greater precision, natural collocation, and more sophisticated control over less common lexical items.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating attempts at varied structures such as conditional clauses ('If people have time to spend...') and subordinate clauses. However, there are some errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text, including tense consistency issues, missing articles ('get a work'), and punctuation flaws like comma splices ('when couples perform domestic chores together, It gives them...'). Despite these mistakes, the grammar and punctuation errors rarely impede communication. To move up to the next band, the writer would need to produce a higher frequency of error-free sentences while maintaining a wide variety of complex structures with good control.
