It is sometimes possible to pay somebody to do things you don't want to do, or don't have time to do, for example, household chores or looking after children.
Is this a good way of providing work for others?
Should people do these things themselves?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often seen that people hire others for their daily household tasks or children care. They might not have the time for these tasks.
Whatever the reason is but in my opinion, it is a good approach because it provides work options for others.
Over the time, life has become very fast and hectic. It seems that nobody has time for simple household chores. The reason is that nowadays, almost every family member do job including the both partners. So it becomes difficult to maintain a perfect work-life balance. Furthermore, people do not have time to look after their kids. As a result, they arrange house help and pay for services which they are not able to do by themselves. This approach creates work opportunities for people who are in need. For example, there are people who are less educated and they lack professional skills to get a high profile job. These opportnities provide employment options for many people.
On the other hand, it is often said that it is a good habit to do household tasks because it keeps healthy and active. However, it all depends on person's schedule, whether its possible to manage it or not. If a person has enough time and stamina, then he/she must do these chores by themselves.Another important point to mention is that, children's care should be done by parents. It is often seen that people hire others for their daily household tasks or children care. Because this will have positive impact on children.
In conclusion, this is a good way if someone hire others to do their household or take care of kids. However, if possible children should be look after by parents.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you consider hiring help a good way to provide work, while also believing parents should care for their children when possible. You address both questions and give relevant reasons, including busy working households and employment for people with fewer qualifications. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The employment point would be stronger with a specific example or explanation of how this work benefits workers, and the view that parents should provide childcare is asserted rather than explored. The response also repeats the opening and much of the body, which limits the amount of distinct support. Develop each side with a clear example and explain how it supports your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph supporting paid help, a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “Furthermore,” “As a result,” and “On the other hand” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the repeated introduction and first body paragraph interrupt the progression and make the response feel circular. Some connections are also unclear: “Whatever the reason is but” combines linking forms awkwardly, and the final childcare point is followed by a sentence fragment beginning “Because.” Paragraphing and sequencing need closer control. Remove the duplicated material, give each paragraph one clear purpose, and use references and transitions that show the relationship between ideas without repeating them.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “household chores,” “work-life balance,” “employment options,” and “professional skills.” There are also attempts at less common expressions such as “hectic” and “high profile job.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “children care,” “work options,” and “it keeps healthy and active.” Spelling errors such as “opportnities” are noticeable, and repeated wording limits the range. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, but they reduce precision. Build a bank of natural phrases for domestic work and childcare, and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, for example, “As a result, they arrange house help and pay for services which they are not able to do by themselves.” The main message is generally understandable, but errors occur across the response and sometimes make sentences awkward. Examples include “almost every family member do job,” “if someone hire others,” and “children should be look after by parents.” There are also problems with articles and possessives in “a person's schedule” and punctuation where sentences run together, as in “by themselves.Another.” The sentence beginning “Because this will have positive impact” is incomplete. Practise subject–verb agreement, passive forms, articles, and sentence boundaries, then proofread for complete sentences.
