Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the modern era, people are busy in daily life because of the hustle and bustle of their work. It is hard sometimes to maintain the work-life balance which ultimately results in hiring someone for their household chores. In my opinion, this kind of practice is an excellent way to provide employment to the others.

To start with, getting someone in their home to perform the daily housing activities would not only help in providing work to the unemployed section but also reduce the workload of the individual working 9-5 job. In spite of managing house, one can spend quality time with their family and reduce the mental pressure. This will give time to strengthen relationship with their friends. No doubt, this practice is the most suitable method for providing jobs to the people who are not well educated and has no source of income.

While employing someone in the home, one should always browse for the well-renounced agency who assist in finding such people. These organisations take all the responsibities for them and also have insurance in an unfortunate situations. Although, companies charge an hefty amount but they have an organised files of such individuals involving family background, past history, police records etc. Therefore, it is always advisable to not look for the househelp yourself instead get support from your surrounding organisations who have experience in these sought of work.

In conclusion, this development has a positive impact in people life from providing relaxation to employement to the different sections of society. One can bring considerable changes by proposing these little changes in their daily life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

Your position is clear: you consider hiring help an excellent way to provide employment, and you give relevant reasons, including reducing workers’ household workload and creating jobs for people with limited education. However, the task asks two questions, and the second—whether people should do these tasks themselves—is not directly answered in a balanced or fully clear way. Your recommendation to use agencies rather than find help independently is useful, but it shifts attention towards safe hiring rather than explaining when people should do chores themselves. Several points, such as the benefits to family relationships and the employment impact, are asserted briefly rather than supported with a specific example. Address both questions explicitly and develop each main reason further.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs develop employment and hiring considerations, and a conclusion restates the positive impact. Linking phrases such as “To start with,” “Although,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the progression. This meets the lower-band expectation for clear overall organisation and shows some flexibility in connecting ideas. However, the progression is not always smooth: the discussion moves from employment benefits to family relationships, then to agency checks, without clearly linking these points to the two questions. Some connections are mechanical, and “friends. No doubt” lacks a space and creates an abrupt transition. Use clearer topic sentences and references to connect each paragraph to a distinct part of the task.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “work-life balance,” “mental pressure,” “unemployed section,” and “family background.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and some less common expressions show an attempt to be precise. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “well-renounced agency,” “organised files,” “these sought of work,” and “employment to the others.” There are also spelling errors, including “responsibities” and “employement.” These do not prevent understanding, but they reduce precision and control. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “reputable agency,” “records,” and “this sort of work.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “people who are not well educated” and a concessive structure beginning “Although.” Most sentences remain understandable, and grammatical errors rarely obstruct the message. Some errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction are evident: “people … has no source” should use a plural verb, while “an hefty amount” needs the correct article. “In an unfortunate situations” also has a mismatch between the article and plural noun, and “strengthen relationship” needs a determiner or plural form. Punctuation is occasionally faulty, as in “friends. No doubt.” Review agreement and articles, and proofread sentence boundaries while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
