IELTS Writing Task 2 question
It is sometimes possible to pay somebody to do things you don't want to do, or don't have time to do, for example, household chores or looking after children.
Is this a good way of providing work for others?
Should people do these things themselves?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Yes i feel it is good to pay someone to do household chores for you especially when you are finacialy capale to afford it cause some times one can be very busy and might not have the time to do any house hold chores, even when you work your space remain tidy and clean without being messy even after coming back from work u get a clean place without doing that your self.
The aspect of looking after your children too,it is also very good for instant people who has mutiple children who has no body to assist them with the kids can pay someone to do it for them,it can as well make the mother to do other stuffs for her self without worry about the children as they have someone looking after them.also some mothers can be having lack of sleep cause of a new born if u have someone you pay that helps you with the kid,it can allow the mother also to have a proper rest without worry about their new born.
Also most women are stay at home moms not because they choose to be, but because they have no one to look after their kids while they are at work having someone to pay someone will they look after your kids is a blessing especially when you can get back to work having a baby.
I believe it is also a good for for employing others as most graduates have no jobs or maybe there are little or no jobs for people, with it is a good way to work an earn a living for yourself.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you explain how paid help can support busy households and mothers, and you state that this work can provide employment for graduates. The examples about keeping a home clean and allowing a mother with a newborn to rest are relevant. However, the response focuses much more on the benefits of hiring help than on whether people should sometimes do these tasks themselves. That part of the task needs a clear answer and supporting reasons, such as personal responsibility, cost, or family involvement. Some points also repeat the same benefit rather than being extended with specific explanation. State your position on both questions in the introduction, then develop each side with a distinct reason or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the response moves from household chores to childcare and then to employment, and paragraph breaks help separate these topics. Basic links such as “also” and “especially” show how ideas relate. However, progression is not consistently clear, and several sentences run together, making the relationships between points difficult to follow. The childcare paragraph, for example, combines assistance for mothers, rest after a newborn, and returning to work without clearly separating these ideas. Repeated linking words such as “also” do not always show the precise connection. Use a clear introduction, one paragraph for each main argument, and a conclusion; divide long sentences and use references such as “this arrangement” to connect ideas more clearly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main ideas, with relevant terms such as “household chores,” “looking after your children,” “new born,” and “earn a living.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, particularly “pay someone” and “good.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, including “finacialy capale,” “mutiple,” and “stuffs,” which can make the reader pause. Some phrases are imprecise or unnatural, such as “a good way to work an earn a living.” Build a more varied set of expressions for paid domestic work and employment, and check spelling and collocations. More precise vocabulary would make your arguments clearer without changing their meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to express reasons and consequences using clauses with “when,” “because,” and “as,” but the range of sentence structures is limited, and complex sentences are often difficult to control. For example, “people who has mutiple children who has no body to assist them” has agreement and clause-structure problems, while “it can allow the mother also to have a proper rest” is awkwardly formed. Several sentences are joined with commas or continue for too long, as in the opening, so punctuation does not reliably mark complete ideas. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them with accurate subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries during proofreading.
