Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays, many people choose to pay others to perform task such as cleaning the homes, cooking meals and looking after their children. while this practice creates opportunities, some people believe that individuals should manage these responsibilities themself. In my opinion, hiring help is beneficial, provided that people do not become completely dependent on others.
On the one hand, paying someone to perform household tasks is an effective way of providing employment. Many people, specially with those with limited educational qualifications, can earn a stable income by offering services such as cleaning, gardening and childcare. This is not only improve the financial conditions but also contributes to the economy. Furthermore, hiring help allows busy professionals to manage their time more efficiently. For example, working professional may employ babysitter so that they can concentrate while ensuring their child is getting proper care.
On the other hand, individual should perform certain task themself whenever it is possible. Household responsibilities teach us valuable skills, encourage independence and make them more organized. If people rely on entirely domestic worker, whenever it is not available then they may struggle to manage with their daily routine. Moreover, parents should actively participate in raising their children rather than leaving them childcare responsibility on someone else. Spending time together help the family in bonding and children emotions will also get develop.
In conclusion, the best approach is balancing between these two options. paying others to complete unwanted or time consuming task can create valuable jobs and less stress. However, people should continue performing essential responsibilities themselves to maintain independence and strength family bonds.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
The response addresses both questions and maintains a clear position: paying for help can create employment and reduce pressure, but people should retain some responsibilities themselves. The two main body paragraphs give relevant reasons, including income for workers, time for professionals, independence, and family relationships. The babysitter example supports the employment and time-management point. To make the discussion more fully developed, explain the benefits and limits of these arrangements with greater precision. For instance, the claim that household tasks make people “more organized” could be illustrated, and the point about parents’ involvement could distinguish routine childcare from the broader responsibility of raising children. Some claims are quite general, but the response remains relevant and its conclusion reflects the position established in the introduction.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, contrasting paragraphs beginning “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion that brings the two views together. Ideas generally progress logically within each paragraph, and examples are placed alongside the points they support. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “Moreover,” and “However” help signal relationships between ideas. At times, however, the connections are more formulaic than fully smooth, and some references are unclear—for example, “whenever it is not available” requires the reader to infer that “it” means a domestic worker. The final paragraph also moves quickly from job creation to reduced stress and family bonds. Clearer referencing and more explicit links between claims would make the progression more seamless.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for discussing employment, domestic work, and family responsibilities, with useful phrases such as “limited educational qualifications,” “manage their time more efficiently,” and “financial conditions.” There is also some attempt at more specific language, including “domestic worker” and “essential responsibilities.” This range allows the main ideas to be communicated, but several word-choice, collocation, and word-form errors reduce precision: “perform task,” “specially with those with,” “contributes to the economy,” and “children emotions will also get develop” are not expressed naturally. Some wording is also broad, such as “valuable skills” and “valuable jobs.” More accurate collocations and a few precise terms for paid domestic work and parental involvement would show greater flexibility and control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The response uses a mix of simple and complex forms, including a conditional sentence (“If people rely on entirely domestic worker…”) and a subordinate clause beginning “provided that.” The overall meaning is generally clear, and the essay is divided into complete sentences. However, some grammatical errors remain across the response. Examples include missing plural marking in “perform task” and “certain task,” subject–verb agreement in “This is not only improve” and “Spending time together help,” and errors in the construction “children emotions will also get develop.” There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries, such as the lowercase “while” after the opening sentence and “paying others” after the conclusion’s full stop. Review agreement, articles, plurals, and clause construction, then proofread punctuation and capitalization.
