Should people do these things themselves?

Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this contemporay era, it is possible to hire someone to do daily household chores or taking care of children, which is sometimes impossible for working people to manage work-life balance. While, I acknowledge that it is an effective way of providing employment to people as no high degree of qualification is required, I also believe that these types of work should be done by people by their own because doing home tasks can be a sort of exercise and gives a sense of belongingness for family.
The main reason to prove that it is a good way of increasing employment is that there is no requirement of high qualification to do these things. To elaborate, these types of work are done by eveyone in their day to day life therefore, it could be their personal experience that can be used rather than a high professional degree and experience that is required for any office job which is sometimes impossible for people below poverty line. For example, in country like India, people hire househelpers based on their personal ability that is attained by them doing their own everyday things.
On the other hand, i believe that these chores should be done by individuals themselves as it can be assumed as an exercise after work which means doing own home cleaning, cooking and washing can gives a satisfaction by relieving mental stress of the whole day while working out at home by paying no costs. Adding to this, if a mother takes care of her children, it could enhance the bonding between the child and the mother. As a result, kids would not feel separated from their family and start developing positive emotions in them.
In conclusion, although, getting household work done or taking care of children from hired staff is a source of employment to people yet the emotional attachment with own children and kind of exercise it could be proved is also very crucial to look through.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both questions and maintain a clear overall position: hiring household help can create employment, but people should generally do domestic tasks and care for their own children. The employment argument is supported with the point that these jobs do not require high qualifications, and the India example makes it more concrete. You also explain possible benefits of doing chores yourself, including exercise and stress relief, and connect parental care with children’s emotional wellbeing. However, the second position is developed more fully than the employment point, and the claim that household tasks should be done by individuals does not consider practical exceptions or distinguish chores from childcare. More balanced development and specific support for each main idea would strengthen the response further.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your position, two body paragraphs present contrasting arguments, and a conclusion restates the main view. Linking phrases such as “To elaborate,” “On the other hand,” and “As a result” help readers follow the progression. This is a coherent arrangement, though some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “While, I acknowledge” uses an awkward transition, and “although” in the conclusion is followed by “yet,” making the relationship between the clauses less smooth. The final sentence also combines several ideas without clearly showing how they relate. Use transitions more selectively and make references explicit, especially when moving between household chores, childcare, and employment.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to discuss the topic and attempt some less common expressions, including “employment,” “qualification,” “mental stress,” and “emotional attachment.” These choices generally make your meaning understandable. However, noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation problems reduce precision: “contemporay,” “eveyone,” and “belongingness” are inaccurate or unnatural, while “prove that it is a good way of increasing employment” and “the emotional attachment with own children” are awkward formulations. Some wording is also repetitive, particularly “these types of work” and “doing.” Aim for more natural collocations and precise terms, such as “create job opportunities,” “household tasks,” and “strengthen the bond between parent and child.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including a concession in the introduction and conditional clauses such as “if a mother takes care of her children.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make sentences difficult to follow. For example, “which is sometimes impossible for working people to manage work-life balance” has an unclear clause structure, and “doing own home cleaning, cooking and washing can gives” has errors in determiner use and subject–verb agreement. The conclusion’s “although … yet” construction is also faulty. Review agreement, articles, and clause construction, and check punctuation around introductory linking words. More accurate control of these structures would make your ideas easier to read.
