Should people do these things themselves?

Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, both partners are working to meet family's needs, hence they require someone to do their household work and taking care of kids because of busy day and they give job to people to do all tasks those person cannot do at home. According to me it is a good oprtunity to give work to others. I am going to discuss my point of view in forthcoming paragraphs.

First of all giving jobs to folks who are working in homes and other places for example cleaning work in office as people have other work to do or they don't want to do.For instance,A mother and father both working in govt sector their baby is one year old so they give responsebility of their son to a HCA and providing good salary as a result it help the HCA to live better life.Apart from this, it is good way to improve quality of life.Hence , i highely appricate that it is good to provide jobs to others.

On the other hand, i dont believe that people need to do these work by them self. For example , if someone is earning good and can spend money for household work and other work.that give them a relaxing life and can save quality of time to spend with family.so their is no need to do these work by themself those can be done by someone whom people can pay.

in conclusion,Giving job to someone to do household work and taking care of kids is a good method in modern era,and one can live happy and healthy life

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions and make your position clear: you consider paid help a good way to provide work, and you argue that people who can afford it need not do these tasks themselves. The example of two working parents hiring a carer supports the employment point, while the discussion of saving time explains the personal benefit. However, some ideas are more fully addressed than others: the benefits to workers are asserted rather than explored, and the second question is treated mainly as a matter of income and convenience. Develop these points with clearer reasoning—for example, explain how paid care supports a worker’s livelihood and when doing chores personally may be preferable.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting different aspects of the issue, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “For instance,” and “On the other hand” help signal the direction of the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The first body paragraph moves from household employment to office cleaning and then to childcare without clearly linking these examples. References such as “that” and “those” in the second body paragraph also make it difficult to identify exactly which tasks or people are meant. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, and connect examples explicitly to that point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including terms related to employment and care such as “household work,” “salary,” “responsibility,” and “quality of life.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “HCA” and “govt sector.” However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors reduce precision, including “give job,” “good oprtunity,” “responsebility,” and “highely appricate.” Informal expressions such as “folks” are less suitable for this essay. Choose standard, accurate phrases and check spelling; using terms such as “hire a caregiver” and “domestic tasks” would make the argument clearer and more appropriate in tone.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a conditional example beginning “if someone is earning good.” This shows some range, and the main message is generally understandable. However, errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation occur in several places. For example, “both partners are working to meet family's needs” needs clearer article and possessive use, while “it help the HCA” has a subject–verb agreement error. The long opening sentence also joins several ideas without clear grammatical boundaries. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them with accurate clauses; check verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries during revision.
