Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, people have a hectic lifestyle and sometimes people hire workers and pay them to do household chores or looking after their babies. This essay will discuss the advantages for workers and why people should do these tasks by themselves in the following paragraphs.
To begin with, it is an excellent choice of individuals by hiring people and pay them to receive household help. For instance, a few International students who are presently studying in schools and colleges always looking for jobs. However , they are only authorize to do part time jobs. Eventually these household jobs such as cleaning and cooking can assist them to cover their daily life expenses. Secondly, a news article revealed that twenty percent of the world population are not graduated. Thus, some institutions prevent them to offer any job position and for these people only left with domestic jobs. Therefore, these jobs supports them to earn ethical money.
On the other hand, individuals should take a break from their work and should spend more time with their children. At young age, children require special attention and care which should be only provided by the parents because children are more expressive and familiar with their family members rather than a stranger. Furthermore, the home theft cases has been increased from last three years. People believe their homes are safer by trusting a stranger. However, sometimes this becomes the foremost reason for house theft.
In conclusion, individuals should maintain a work life balance. People should spend their time with their families and should be careful while taking support for household from a stranger because it can become a wrong decision for them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions: the first body paragraph explains how domestic work can provide income for students and people with limited qualifications, while the second argues that parents should care for their children and raises concerns about home security. Your conclusion also gives a general position, recommending family time and caution when hiring help. These are relevant points, but the response does not fully clarify whether people should do household chores themselves or whether hiring help is acceptable in general. The claim about people without degrees being left only with domestic work, and the theft concern, would benefit from explanation or a specific example. State your position more directly and develop each main reason with clearer support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad progression. However, some connections are mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is not always clear. For example, the point about people without degrees follows the student example but is not fully linked to the argument that hiring provides work. The theft point also shifts from parental care to security without a smooth transition. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main claim, then connect each example explicitly to that claim. Clearer referencing and fewer formulaic transitions would make the progression more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of task-related vocabulary, including “hectic lifestyle,” “household chores,” “special attention and care” and “work life balance,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal wording, such as “institutions” and “foremost reason,” but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural: “ethical money” does not express the intended idea, and “authorize” is not the right form for describing students’ permitted work. Phrases such as “household help” and “household jobs” are repeated, limiting flexibility. Aim for precise collocations and check word forms; for example, use “earn an income” and “are authorised to work part-time.” This would make your vocabulary more natural and exact.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “care which should be only provided by the parents” and a contrast introduced by “However.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence construction and agreement recur. For example, “people hire workers and pay them to do household chores or looking after their babies” mixes verb patterns; use “to do … or look after.” In “a few International students … always looking,” the main verb is missing, while “these jobs supports” has subject–verb disagreement. There are also article and tense problems in “the home theft cases has been increased from last three years.” Practise consistent verb patterns, agreement and complete clauses, then proofread punctuation and sentence boundaries.
