Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this hectic lifestyle, people often hire a personal caretaker for their children or sometimes a maid to get everything done at home. This trend can be positive for those people who do not have sufficient time to complete their other tasks, such as going to work or making time for their personal desires. However, it creates some problems for them in many cases. In this essay, I will explain its positive development and also why it should be important for people to do their tasks on their own in some situations.
The major advantage for individuals when they pay someone to complete their household chores or take care of their children is that they can strike a balance between their work and personal life. To elaborate, people could feel more energetic and productive if they have time to manage schedules for completing their dreams and desires, and it may help them to earn and become financially independent while they go to work. For instance, a person could want to become a makeup artist, which requires extra time to accomplish it and it can be happen only if they have someone to complete their daily tasks. Additionally, this trend can create more employment for skilled people. If people hire someone for their personal work and children, these people have a chance to earn in their lives, which automatically boosts economic growth for those communities.
However, in some situations, it should be imperative for people to prioritize their time for children since they may become independent at an early age. To explain it, spending time with children while feeding them and playing with them can strengthen their relationships also, they may become more disciplined humans in their future if their guardian is always with them in their growing years. Moreover, hiring a maid for other household chores can sometimes become problematic due to privacy concerns. For example, it can be seen in many societies that workers can steal people's privacy while they are working in their homes.
In conclusion, although this trend can give people a break for their own tasks, it should be important to think properly before hire someone to take care for their children and other house tasks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you explain how paid help can provide employment and free up people’s time, then discuss why parents may want to care for children themselves. Your position is generally clear, especially in the conclusion’s caution about hiring help. The employment point is relevant, but the claim that it “automatically boosts economic growth” is asserted rather than explained. The example of becoming a makeup artist illustrates personal benefit, though it could be linked more directly to the question of whether this is a good way to provide work. The concerns about children’s development and privacy are also relevant, but the latter is briefly stated and would benefit from a specific explanation or example. Develop these points more evenly and state your overall view more directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph on advantages, one on reasons to do tasks personally, and a conclusion. The progression from personal benefits to employment and then to childcare and privacy is easy to follow. Linking phrases such as “To elaborate,” “Additionally,” and “However” help signal the stages of the argument, and the paragraphing is appropriate. Some connections are less smooth or precise: “However, in some situations” does not clearly identify which earlier point is being contrasted, while “these people” requires the reader to infer that it means workers. The conclusion also repeats the main ideas without fully resolving the balance between them. Use more precise referencing and make the relationship between each example and its main point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “strike a balance,” “financially independent,” “employment,” and “privacy concerns.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and you attempt some less common expressions. However, several phrases are imprecise or unnatural, such as “positive development,” “complete their dreams and desires,” and “steal people’s privacy.” “Personal work” is also vague when referring to household tasks or childcare. These choices do not prevent understanding, but they limit precision and naturalness. Aim for more accurate collocations and topic-specific wording, particularly when describing the benefits of paid help and the risks of employing someone in the home.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if they have time” and clauses introduced by “which” and “while.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur. For example, “it can be happen” has an incorrect verb form, and “before hire someone” needs a gerund or an infinitive construction. In “spending time … can strengthen their relationships also, they may become,” two independent clauses are joined incorrectly; separate them or use a suitable conjunction. The sentence beginning “For instance, a person could want…” also contains a long chain of clauses that would be clearer if divided. Review verb patterns, clause boundaries, and sentence punctuation while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
