Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays, it is becoming a common practise to hire people for their household work or babysitting. This is becasue people have tight schedule or they are not interested in performing particular activity. Although, this thing helps to increase employment. However, I believe to save money and to make the emotional bond stronger people should effectively do attainable work.

Hiring people to do work have various benefits. Firstly, a large number of people will get a job. People with fewer qualification will receive a stable job such as, gardners, nannies and a cleaner. Thus, people like doctors and engineers who are serving the society will get a time to work for long hours. For example, a family who is paying a local student to babysit is not only helping him to get a job, but also work experience. This would help a student to grow in his career.

On the other hand, there are strong reasons that why people should not oursource everything. To begin with, people will sve money of they try doing household chores themselves. Instead of paying a lot of money to hired workers, people could save it for their own use. Not only this, but they will also develop a skill to handle household work. Moreover, a strong connection between parents and children will develop. When parents look after their children themselves, they understand their emotions and teach them good deeds. Consequently, this makes a bond between them stronger and chances of less conflicts would arsie in future. For example, children grow more healthy when their parents

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions: the first body paragraph explains how hiring household workers can create jobs, while the second gives reasons to do chores and childcare yourself, including saving money and strengthening family relationships. Your position is clear in the introduction, where you favour doing attainable work personally, and the examples about a student babysitter and parents caring for children are relevant. However, the discussion is uneven: the employment benefit is explained briefly, and the final example about children is cut off, leaving that point unsupported. Develop each main idea with a complete explanation or example, and make the conclusion explicit so the reader can see your final judgement clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction followed by one paragraph on the benefits of hiring and another on doing tasks yourself. Sequencing expressions such as “Firstly,” “For example,” “On the other hand,” and “Moreover” help signal the direction of the argument. Some connections are less controlled, however: “Although” and “However” are used together in the introduction, and “Not only this” does not lead into a balanced paired construction. The final sentence also stops before completing the example, disrupting the progression at the end. Use linking phrases more selectively, connect each example directly to its point, and finish with a brief concluding paragraph.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “stable job,” “household chores,” “emotional bond,” and “conflicts.” There are also attempts at more specific terms such as “babysit” and “qualification.” However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “practise” where the noun “practice” is intended, “becasue,” “gardners,” “sve,” and “arise” misspelled as “arsie.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “tight schedule,” “do attainable work,” and “grow more healthy.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations—for example, “busy schedules,” “carry out manageable tasks,” and “grow up healthier”—to make your meaning more natural and exact.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex forms, including a conditional sentence (“When parents look after their children themselves…”) and a result clause beginning “Consequently.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For example, “Hiring people to do work have” needs subject–verb agreement (“Hiring people … has”), and “people will … if they try” contains an incorrect verb form in the sentence about saving money. The opening also has faulty punctuation and clause structure in “Although, this thing helps … However.” Practise checking agreement, conditional verb forms, and sentence boundaries, and complete the final sentence so its structure is clear.
