Student answer (Band 6.0)

Paying other to assist you in basic household chores or to take care of children when you dont have interest or time after you busy work day and other reasons is always a topic of discussion in this contemporay world. In my perspective, it is great way to create work for people who are not illiterate or does not have higher education to meet job requirements.

One of the most compelling reasons behind this is hectic schedules. Both men and womens are equitable educated and responsibilities in the field of occupation. Therefore, spending whole day at workplace, they get little time to take care of children study, food or for other household stuff. For Instance, A person who is working as a nurse or doctor, does not have fixed schdules such like 9-5 jobs employees cannot fullfil the other roles. Hence, to hire a househelp is the sole way to complete all these responsibilities.

In addition to that, another reason is it builds income sources for people who had not accomplished their studies due to financial strain, disease, or does not have enough sources for the education. Having said that, people from disadvantages backgrounds cannot meet the education standards for other job opportunities. Consequently, they have to face the financial stress. To illustrates this, Working as a househelp or caretaker of kids will still enable them to feed their kids or other expenses.

To sum up, although people can carries these responsibilities along with office work but to maintain work-life balance or as a help to low income families, paying them for basic activities would not have any disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you support paying others, both because busy workers need help and because this creates income for people with limited education. These are relevant responses to the question, and the examples of healthcare workers and household helpers make the discussion more concrete. However, the task asks both whether this provides work and whether people should do these things themselves. The second part is only briefly addressed in the conclusion (“people can carries these responsibilities”), without explaining when doing chores or childcare oneself might be preferable. The reasons are also asserted more than fully developed, particularly the link between limited education and this type of employment. Develop both sides of the question and explain your examples more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs give separate reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Paragraphs are focused, and signposts such as “One of the most compelling reasons,” “In addition to that,” and “To sum up” help readers follow the progression. This clear organisation is a strength. At times, however, linking feels mechanical, and some references are difficult to follow—for example, “these responsibilities” in the conclusion could refer to childcare, chores, or both. The sentence beginning “Having said that” also does not clearly contrast with the preceding point. Use transitions that show the precise relationship between ideas, and make references explicit to strengthen the flow further.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “hectic schedules,” “financial strain,” “job opportunities,” and “work-life balance.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and the response attempts some less common expressions. However, noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors sometimes make the meaning less clear. For example, “not illiterate” does not express the intended idea of people with limited education, while “equitable educated” and “other household stuff” are imprecise or unnatural in this context. There are also spelling errors such as “contemporay” and “schdules.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling; choosing simpler but precise wording is more effective than using an unsuitable phrase.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “when,” “because,” and “although.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main message is generally understandable. However, errors occur across the response, and complex sentences are not consistently controlled. Examples include “Both men and womens are equitable educated,” “a person … does not have fixed schedules … cannot fulfil,” and “people can carries these responsibilities.” These show problems with agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction. Articles and plurals also need attention, as in “it is great way” and “other expenses.” Review each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb, then check agreement and articles before submitting.
