Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many people are like to pay somebody to do the house chores or looking after the children while others think that better do it by themselves to save the money.
Some people are choose to have a house cleaner or nanny because the lack of time, many people are being busy with their job.for example a parents who work everyday and had no time to take care of their kids are likely to hired a nanny. And luckily there are some program in few countries to have affordable nanny. For example in european countries such as Denmark,Germany,Netherlands,Luxembourg and many more, they had one program called “Aupair” it is basically government’s program. The scheme is most of parents in those countries would choose a young people from other countries age around 18-26 they job basically look after the kids and receive pocket money around 240€ to 500€ per month. Which way cheaper than hiring a person as a real nanny, instead the parents should provide room, language courses, and public transport card to the aupair, However in countries like Indonesia some busy parents tend to have a nanny,as the babysitter’s salary in indonesia are still low price compared to other developed countries.
Meanwhile, others think that having a nanny and house cleaner are wasting, they are rather to do the job by themselves rather than hiring a person to clean the house or looking after the children. Some people are choose to leaving their kids with the grandmother, they thought it was best choice as we are not trusting people easily especially strangers.
In my opinion having nanny or cleaner are fine for those who needed it, Or it might be good to help people who need job.
In conclusion having nanny and cleaner is good option for busy parents even it could waste the monthly expenses,However not having any of them is fine as long as the parents could take a side with the children or have time to do the house chores.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: the second paragraph explains how hiring a nanny or cleaner can provide work, while the next presents reasons some people prefer to manage childcare themselves. Your examples of au-pair arrangements and Indonesian babysitters make the discussion relevant. However, the position is not fully clear or consistently developed. The opening contrasts paying for help with saving money, but the conclusion mainly says hiring help is suitable for busy parents and does not clearly weigh whether people should do these tasks themselves. The point about leaving children with a grandmother is introduced but not explained, and the employment benefit is asserted rather than explored. State your view directly and develop each side with a clear reason and consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for contrasting views, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “Meanwhile” and “In conclusion” help signal shifts in the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the long au-pair example moves from the scheme’s purpose to its costs and requirements without clear sentence boundaries. Some links are mechanical or unclear, including “Which way cheaper” and “However in countries like Indonesia,” where the relationship between ideas needs to be made explicit. The conclusion also repeats the main points rather than bringing the two answers together. Use shorter, clearly organised sentences and make each paragraph’s central point explicit before adding examples.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “house cleaner,” “nanny,” “affordable,” “salary,” and “monthly expenses,” and the au-pair example shows an attempt to use more specific terms. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning less natural: “house chores,” “wasting,” “low price,” and “take a side with the children” do not express the intended ideas precisely. Repetition of “nanny,” “children,” and “people” also limits flexibility. Build a wider set of accurate phrases for domestic work, childcare, employment, and family responsibilities, and check whether each expression fits its context. More precise wording would make your examples easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including explanations and examples, but control is inconsistent. Errors are frequent and sometimes make the reader pause: “Many people are like to pay” and “Some people are choose” use incorrect verb forms, while “a parents who work everyday … are likely to hired” has problems with agreement and the infinitive form. There are also missing or incorrect articles and plural forms, as in “a young people” and “one program,” and punctuation is often missing around sentence boundaries. The long au-pair sentence is especially difficult to follow. Practise accurate present-tense patterns and subject–verb agreement, then divide long sentences into shorter units and check articles, plurals, and punctuation.
