Student answer (Band 6.5)
In this face paced era, some people prefer to take additional help from others in case of domestic work or be it, looking after their young ones. This is possibly a better way to provide employment as well as better living style to people in need.In my opinion, it is totally situation based and people who have adequate time should perform these activities by themselves, or else there should be no hesitation while hiring a help.
To begin with, it can be easily observed that in a couple, both of the individuals are usually working full-time. Consequently, they are putting their best efforts to afford a lavish lifestyle, which at times cost them, their time. Furthermore, they either prefer frozen foods or spend their money by eating outside. Hence, in such scenarios it is better to hire someone for household chores, as health of the individuals should not be compromised. Moreover, many couples in the urban areas have rotational shifts due to which it is hard to look after their young ones. Therefore, it is preferred to afford someone with qualified degree who can take care of their children.
On the other hand, if there is a possibility for people in this era, to carry out a task or activity independently, that has plethora of benefits. As, they do not need to worry about if the task is carried out with all subsequent steps needed. Also, they can save up money instead of giving it to someone else. For instance, hiring a domestic help in big countries like Canada is so expensive. Hence, many people prefer meal preperation on weekends instead.
To conclude, I would say that paying someone to get a help is completely situational. Although, it actually beneficial for those working full time , seven days a week. However, if an individual can perform their tasks by themselves, should be considered efficient in this era, as they are saving both, their time as well as money.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both questions and maintain a clear, balanced position: hiring help can be appropriate for busy households, while people with enough time may do tasks themselves. The examples of full-time working couples, childcare needs and meal preparation in Canada make the discussion relevant. This meets the core requirements well. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the claim that hiring help protects health would be stronger if you explained how it reduces stress or supports healthier routines. The point about employing a qualified childcare provider also needs more development, such as why qualifications matter. To strengthen the response further, explain the benefits of providing work for others more directly, rather than focusing mainly on the convenience to employers.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction states your position, two body paragraphs present contrasting circumstances, and the conclusion returns to your view. Linking expressions such as “Consequently,” “Furthermore,” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the progression. This is a sound foundation, though some connections feel mechanical or do not clearly express the relationship between ideas. For instance, “Hence” introduces the Canada example without explaining how it follows from the preceding point about saving money. Some sentences also contain several ideas that would be clearer if separated and linked more precisely. Use referencing carefully and make each paragraph’s central point explicit, then ensure each example directly supports it.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “domestic work,” “rotational shifts,” “household chores,” and “meal preparation.” There are also attempts at less common or formal expressions, such as “plethora of benefits” and “compromised,” but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural. “Face paced era” should be “fast-paced era,” while “better living style” is not a natural phrase in this context; “improved quality of life” would be clearer. “Afford someone with qualified degree” also uses an unsuitable verb and phrasing. Spelling slips such as “preperation” and “full time” reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural collocations rather than adding formality where it does not fit.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including cause-and-effect clauses and conditional ideas, as in “if there is a possibility … to carry out a task.” Most of the meaning remains clear, but some grammatical errors and punctuation problems persist. For example, “which at times cost them, their time” has an incorrect verb form and misplaced comma; “As, they do not need to worry” is an incomplete sentence; and “if an individual can perform their tasks by themselves, should be considered efficient” lacks a clear subject in the main clause. There are also inconsistent comma patterns and missing spaces after full stops. Review sentence boundaries, subject–verb agreement and clause structure, while keeping the variety of sentence forms you are attempting.
