Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays, many individuals pay others to do some tasks, such as household chores or babysitting, when there are not having time or busy with their own scheduals. In my perspective, this is a good way to give work to someone whos looking for job, although people should still try to manage their time to do their own work if possible.

On the one hand, providing work to those people who are willing to work, can help them to be occupied with something and instead they can get paid for it. In our society, there are lots of people who are not able to complete their study, and not having jobs, by paying to do household chores or look after childern, giving them a chance to earn a money and support their own families. For example, in big cities, high-paid professionals like doctor, engineers hire maids and nannies, this way they can give job oppotunity to workers and can save their own time.

On the other hand, it is still important for people to do some things themselves. Childern always follow their parents foot print. Childern need to see their parents cooking and cleaning in home, so they can learn how to be independent in the future. Furthermore, doing some light housework can actually a good for physical activity after working full day on screen.

In conclusion, keeping house keeper and babysitter is incredibly a positive way to create jobs for those who need it. However, people should not completely rely on workers, instead they should have take small responsibility for their work and childern.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: paying others can create employment, but people should retain some responsibility for their homes and children. You address both questions and support the employment argument with the example of professionals hiring domestic workers. The point about children learning independence from their parents is also relevant. This gives the response a solid, balanced answer. However, some ideas are more fully explained than others: the benefits to workers are outlined, while the claim that household tasks provide physical activity is brief and would benefit from a specific explanation or example. To strengthen the response further, develop each main reason with a clearer explanation of its effects and avoid broad claims such as suggesting that many workers have been unable to complete their studies.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The response has a clear overall progression: the introduction states your view, the two body paragraphs present contrasting considerations, and the conclusion restates your position. Paragraphing is appropriate, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the structure easy to follow. Ideas within each paragraph are generally ordered sensibly, moving from a claim to an explanation or example. To make the progression more polished, use links between individual ideas more flexibly rather than relying mainly on standard paragraph-opening phrases. For instance, the shift from children learning from parents to housework as exercise could be connected more explicitly, so the second paragraph reads as a unified argument rather than two separate supporting points.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “household chores,” “babysitting,” “earn,” “support their own families,” and “independent.” These choices make your main ideas understandable. However, the range and precision are uneven, and several spelling, word-form, or collocation errors are noticeable: “scheduals,” “whos,” “childern,” “oppotunity,” and “earn a money.” Phrases such as “give work to someone” and “do some things themselves” are understandable but general. Aim to use more precise expressions for employment and domestic responsibilities, and check spelling and natural word combinations carefully. For example, “provide employment” and “household responsibilities” would express your ideas more accurately and appropriately for this essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrastive structure in “although people should still try to manage their time” and a conditional phrase in “if possible.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction. Examples include “when there are not having time,” “can actually a good,” and “they should have take small responsibility.” The sentence beginning “In our society” also combines several ideas in a way that makes its structure difficult to control. Review verb patterns after modal verbs, article use, and how to build longer sentences around one clear main clause. More accurate control of these patterns would make your reasoning easier to read.
