Student answer (Band 6.5)

Hiring domestic helpers is becoming increasingly popular to complete tasks which people do not prefer to do or do not have time to do. With the increasing pace of life in the modern society house helpers fecilitate people to find a balance between their professional and personal life. I believe it is a great way to open new employment opportunities. However, people should be flexible doing their house works and taking care of children instead of entirely relying on helpers.

Undoubtedly, domestic work jobs provide opportunities for underprivileged people in education. As these jobs do not require any certification or university degrees. Doing household chores and taking care of children are something individuals are already known to by their birth. By paying these people for completing household tasks, professionals can get time to relax after hectic day at work and to spend some quality time with their children. Consequently, after hiring helpers for house work, working people can reduce stress about house cleaning and taking care of children.

Nevertheless, people should always remain available for cleaning their personal space and as a parent they should be aware of their children needs. Although hiring people for this job can make their life a lot easier. Continuous dependency on someone else can create challenges in a parent and child bond. This is due to the fact that after spending several hours of the day with nanies children become comfortable with them and start of make distance from their biological parents.

In conclusion, it is irrefutable that hiring people for domestic work is a great employment opportunity for people with a little or no education. In contrast, instead of completely relying on paid workers, people must always remain aware of their own responsibilities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: employing helpers can create work, but families should not rely on them entirely. You address both questions and give relevant reasons, including employment for people with limited education and the possible effect of a nanny’s role on parent–child relationships. This meets the task well, while the response shows some of the fuller development expected at the next level. In particular, the employment argument is supported by the benefit to busy professionals, but the claim that domestic work is accessible to people with little education is asserted rather than explored. The concern about children becoming distant from parents would also be stronger with a specific example or a qualification acknowledging that outcomes vary. Develop these points more evenly and explain why people should still do some tasks themselves.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The essay has a clear overall progression: an introduction states your view, the two body paragraphs present benefits and reservations, and the conclusion restates your position. Linking expressions such as “Undoubtedly,” “Nevertheless,” and “In conclusion” help signal this structure, and the contrast between the two main arguments is easy to follow. To make the progression more consistently smooth, strengthen the links between some claims and their explanations. For example, the sentence about domestic jobs requiring no qualifications is followed by a broad claim about people being naturally familiar with chores, rather than a clear explanation of how this creates accessible employment. The fragment beginning “Although hiring people…” also interrupts the flow. Use complete sentences and clearer references between ideas to make cohesion less dependent on signposting phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “employment opportunities,” “professional and personal life,” “continuous dependency,” and “biological parents.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and some less common expressions show an attempt to be precise. However, several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors reduce naturalness: “fecilitate,” “house works,” “nanies,” and “start of make distance” are examples. “Underprivileged people in education” is also unclear, and “known to by their birth” does not express the intended idea naturally. Aim for accurate, conventional collocations rather than more elaborate phrasing where control is uncertain. Proofreading spelling and checking how words combine would help you express your arguments more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional-style explanation with “This is due to the fact that…” and a concessive structure beginning “Although…”. Most meaning remains clear, but some grammatical errors recur. “As these jobs do not require…” is a sentence fragment, while “Although hiring people for this job can make their life a lot easier” is also incomplete because it lacks a main clause. There are also errors in agreement and sentence construction, such as “children needs” and “start of make distance.” Work on completing subordinate clauses, matching singular and plural forms, and checking possessives and articles. More accurate control of these structures would make the argument easier to read without limiting your use of complex sentences.
